Empire Shopping Gallery goes BOOM!!!

I was doing my jog at Bukit Gasing 2 days back when i got an sms from my gym (Fitness First) at Empire saying "Dear members, Fitness First Empire will be closed due to an emergency evacuation by the building....". At first i suspected that we were experiencing another light tremor (Tall buildings always initiate an evacuation whenever slight tremors were felt throughout the country). However, it wasnt till that night itself that i got the news of what actually happened!

Empire Shopping Gallery has been my weekly visit since i joined the gym there. Looking at the damages done by the explosion, i can't believe that i was there just a few days back and how no one saw what will happen to this popular shopping mall.

As of now, it has been reported that the blast was due to some gas leakage from the ground floor. It has been said that the explosion could be heard all the way up to Bangsar! Some 15 minutes away (driving distance).

Gas leakage? Seriously?....Is it THAT easy for a building to just blow up into pieces without signs whatsoever? We are once again reminded the danger of shopping malls.

The explosion happened at 3.45am (Thank God) and fortunately no one was killed in this event, however 4 people suffered minor injuries. Things would have been uglier if it was to happen during business hours!

Could this just be luck? or.....planned?
Now, im no detective nor am i involved in any CSI Organisation but i must say..it's suspicious enough to think that no one actually noticed these leaks and that it had to happen in such odd hours.

Well that's me btw. Adding some spice to my stories just to heat things up and give ya'll some time to ponder your head about.

Now, here i am at home on my weekend when what i had originally planned was to head down to this mall and work this junk in the trunk out! hmmmm -_-

Wassup friends! How's it going???
Sorry for the major delay on updating my blog and on Youtube as well.
If you have any interest at all in my personal life then you'd know that the last time i updated myself to you was when I'm busy in training with AirAsia.

Well 2 months has passed since then and im proud to say i passed the academy with flying colours and here i am, busy as ever!

its been about close to 3 months now that i've been flying 'solo' as a flight attendant and i must say, i am all drained out. 5 times a week, up to 6 flights a day. Can you imagine?

I feel the aging effect on myself and i aint lovin it. No No No....
Gone are the days when im able to stay awake till 4am and be asleep till noon. Now the latest for me to stay energetically awake is till 10pm. Anything more than that and im using all my might to keep my eye lids from falling.
Yes that's right...R.I.P to my social life.

But of course with every hard work, comes a price.
And that price, is on me ;)
I got half a taste of my full income last month and that has kept and will keep me smiling on every 26th day of the month. Heheheeeee~
Its my first four-figured earning in my life and Im proud of it.
And yes, with every price, goes my time for friends, family, partying, daily exercise and all the other routines i used to do before 4 months ago.

So...WORK.
Ahhhh...Like everything else in this world ( i suppose ), time is needed to get the use of it. I'm still fitting myself hard to fit in the triangle box of my working hours. But that however is something all flight attendants in the world will have to deal with i suppose.
And surprise surprise, just half an hour into my standby hours, Im being called up for another flight later at 4 (as we, well I speak...or type o_O)
Another hour to waste so lets continue ~ Then comes the inflight services and standard of procedures. Complicated at first but im slowly getting the hand of it, Thank God, but Im still learning.
Ps; got my hand burnt from heating the food in the oven on board :( (and i was wearing gloves, mind you)

All in all work is fun IF, and ONLY IF, my set of crew are the fun ones as well.
People comes in different shapes and sizes including personality. However in the kind of work we are doing, It is utterly important for our leading to be humble, nice, patient and FUN for a smooth day at work. After all, THAT is the quality of personality AirAsia is looking for during the interviews~

Oh well...what else is there to say?
Work aside, when it comes to my social life, dinners and movies are all what i managed to do for now as all my days off are on the weekdays and let me remind you...im mentally falling asleep after 10pm. sNorT~

Oh and on my health-story , I have replaced my daily outdoor walk in the little 'jungle' of Gasing Hill (Bukit Gasing) and nightly jog with the indoor atmosphere of the gym. Fitness First @ Empire, Subang mostly. Gotta buff up this flabs ya'll...although i know its gonna take years and years and years -_-.

Also, I have a new member to the family! Can someone say "meoowwww"! hahahah
yes, i've adopted a stray cat i found at the ever delicious Humble Chef about 2 months back and its the most adorable-easy to train feline ever. Dumbell is his name. < Don't ask >

Ok guys, GTG and get ready! Just found out that i need to be there at 3 instead of 4. an hour makes a lot of difference! CHOWWW~ 'tHat's LiFe...' ;)

Epic American Comedy ~The Nanny~

Thats the amount of time i've glued my eyes on the screen watching The Nanny!

Yes, no other sitcom nowadays can ever compare to this brilliantly sketched piece of comedy art. PERIOD.

Created and executively produced by Fran Drescher (who is also the main character) and her then-husband Peter Marc Jacobson, The Nanny took much of its inspiration from Drescher's personal life, involving names and characteristics based on near relatives and friends. The show earned a Rose d'Or and one Emmy Award, out of a total of thirteen nominations, and Drescher was twice nominated for a Golden Globe as well as for an Emmy. Since the early 2000s the sitcom has also spawned several foreign adaptations, loosely inspired by the original scripts.

But ofcourse no comedy is ever as ORIGINAL as The Nanny have and always will be.
Though it's no longer aired on TV, i get my dose of nasal voiced nanny on the ever convenient Youtube! ;)
Also a favourite of Malaysian Idol winner, Jaclyn Victor, among of millions other out there, The Nanny is a 'Must-have' DVD collection!
It still moves me to tears watching the last episode of this gut tickling series.

My favourite character in the show would have to be the mother...Sylvia Fine!!! heheh

With Britney's failed 'advertisement music video' for Hold It Against Me, I was rather convinced that there won't be any reason for me to get excited on her next music video from that moment on.....little did I know Miss Britney would prove me wrong!

Browsing through Facebook, I found a Youtube link on Britney's new released video, 'Till The World Ends'.

At the beginning of the video, I thought this was gonna be one of those fake fan-made music videos that has other Britney look-alike in it. But, I was taken by surprise to know that it really is her and it's an original music video for that song!

Hot Hot Hotness!!!

Britney is seen dressed up in tights and stilettos that shows off her sexy curves.
The music video starts off like an Armageddon trailer with all the falling debris and meteors from the sky. A 2012 picture. But below all that chaos, a sexy party is being held underground with of course, Britney being the hostess of it all.

Looking back at this video, you would soon recognize that it looks like another 'Im a slave 4 you' spin-off. However, Im just relieved to see NO such promotional brands throughout it all! PHIEEWWWWW

But of course, when there's a plus point, there's the minus points.
The one thing that lacks in this video is.......yu, you guessed it! ~HER EPIC DANCE~
Nevertheless it has always been the problem since Kevin Federline came into the picture. Though i hope she doesnt gives up and start taking dancing seriously again.

Cause seriously, Britney....the one excuse we accept you for miming on stage is that you have some ass-kicking dance routine you always pull off on stage. Now that's history, there shouldn't be a problem on singing LIVE.

Kudos to the Director for NOT taking advantage of Britney like the rest, and for bringing sexy right back to her name ;)

Rebecca Black - FRIDAY. ~Misunderstood story~

It almost seems like no effort was done whatsoever during the writing of the lyrics and Rebecca Black's voice proves that everyone out there has potential to become a singer.

BUT......I LOVE IT!

Yes yes...Im not ashamed to go all out and say that I am now, a Rebecca Black FAN! weett weett ;p
Before you jump the gun and shoot me, listen up to what i've got to say and think about it yourself.

I started out as one of Rebecca Black's haters. Poking fun at the song and posting nasty jokes at the 13yo Rebecca Black. But at the same time, in the dark, away from other's presence, I was in fact hitting the replay button on Youtube!
Then i realize it! *I AM ACTUALLY ENJOYING IT*

I mean come on, Yes the lyrics could have been a lot better and her voice can be somewhat like an annoying duck, but what else can be said about that most anticipated day ~ FRIDAY!?

I had like what seems like the most longest week ever and when Friday finally came, Rebecca was singing to me the whole day.

Ok, my point >
1. Its a simple song about a day called Friday.
" Yesterday was thursday, Today it is friday, we we we so excited, we so excited,
we gonna have a ball today, tomorrow is saturday and sunday comes afterwardssss.."
Now, HOW TRUE is this???
Do you guys get it now? The lyrics doesnt have to be so complicated and all, cause in the end, it's all about being excited that Friday is finally here and the day after would be the weekend! TADAAAA :D

Its about time someone comes up with something simple. Who says every song has to be perfectly written with bombastic words with original catchphrase and breath-taking story line?
I mean in reality, the only thing we are excited about on a Friday is that tomorrow, we don't have to work!
Its not always bout doing drugs, or making love, or about thousands of these insects called firefly lighting up the sky while you lay down dreaming about something...Its about a day called...*drum roles*...FRIDAY.

2. The voice. Yes yes, i cant argue here when i say she doesn't have the best voice ever and auto-tune is indeed a big help. However, TAKE NOTE she's only an AVERAGE 13YO GIRL! How many everage people out there? raise your hand! *raising hand*. Ok now you can drop back your hand down. You guys see my point yet?
It aint always about getting a singer with an angelic voice like JoJo and all, but let a normal 13yo express her joy on a Friday!
Whats the big deal? At least she reminds us that not everyone in the world can sing, and therefor she is sort of 'representing' us non-singers! hahahaha....but seriously.

Aside from these two points i have, it is NO DOUBT a very catchy song. And don't you be in denial about this.

We defend ourselves so much on being human...but which part of us is human when we say nasty stuff to a 13yo? Rebecca Black may not be perfect, but the only one in the world who is PERFECT, is not even visible. (You know WHO Im talking about).

We are real people with real voices and real feelings. (Full stop)

I have come to the end of my reasons on how and why I became, from a hater, to a fan.
And here's something i read somewhere on Twitter that makes A LOT of sense >

Diary ; Catching up time ;)

Heyyyy peeps!
Im so so so sorry on my 'disappearance'. But here's a catching up session (excuses as my defense) --->

No fancy shmancy story to update ya'll about, but on the other hand, I have joined the AirAsia Allstars family. Flight Attendant trainee Batch 117..the coolest batch on the academy! woohooo ;p

(my batch-mate Suresh, remy and ME )

Its my 4th week of training now and we (i, representing my batch of course) have about another 3 more weeks to go.

Grooming-Service Excellence-Announcement-Aviation-Inflight-(and as now,)First Aid.
These are the subjects of training i've been through and i have a few more to go.

My dear readers, let me tell you one thing: NEVER UNDERESTIMATE flight attendants!
Only once you join in the training process will you appreciate and understand the airline industry and how difficult it is to be a flight attendant..or as the general public consider us to be, 'waiters and waitresses of the airplane'.

There is more to it then just serving meals and selling items on board. 'We' are in-charge and responsible first and far-most, the passenger's SAFETY.
To be able, or properly saying, QUALIFIED to be the 'on air LIFEGUARD', we must first go through an intense/tiring training of first aid and safety-security class.

As of the date this blog is written, I am now in my 3rd day of first aid training and let me tell you this...IT AINT EASY!

So yes, a few months back my bed time was when the sun rises but now my sleeping schedule has turned outside down and i now rise along with the morning sun.

SO my dear readers, please forgive me for keeping it hush hush lately for i have been pretty busy (getting prettier while being busy! heheheehehehhe) and i PROMISE you this > I will post up anything worth blogging about once i have the materials aites!

As for now, keep following me and have patience. I'll BE BACK.

Inhuman Beings

Abuse abuse abuse.
What is it that sparks such a disturbing manner into one's thoughts till the point it produced excitement and joy?
Its not an act of sanity.

I've been watching a lot of animal abuse videos posted on youtube and mainly Facebook, lately. A hooded teen throwing helpless new-born puppies into a river, a sexy woman stabbing a poor kitten in search of some love in the eye with her heels, twisted chinese girls sitting on glass placed on top of an innocent bunny till its being crushed to death and now,a most recent one that happened right here in Malaysia is a chinese man, slapping and tossing a poodle across the room after it failed it's lessons in standing only on its hind legs. Seriously?!

Since when did these creatures were ever able to be human in the first place?...Never had and never will.
But as for these so-called humans, they are doing a really good job at becoming inhuman. In fact, its a disgrace to label them anything more than an animal!
They're sick people with the heart of Satan's.

Since the video of the abused poodle started popping up on facebook about a few days ago, thousand of outraged viewers has been ganging up on finding these abusers in the video for some cruel yet fair revenge. Big and important names from th government has also made calls in complaint of the grueling act.

The video was posted up by someone who claimed she had discovered it on a thumbdrive and decided to upload it on the popular video streaming site > Youtube.
It became a popular hit. It saddened me, as a Muslim Malaysian, of how cruel AND stupid our locals can behave towards an animal!
As I'm writing this, I am also holding back tears in pity for the poodle. And no, im not just saying this to add in the dramatic episode. Personally, i love dogs. And i've been wanting one for myself to share love and care between us humans and them animals. After all, we came from one creator. But of course being a Malaysian muslim, i am restricted into owning a dog and this enraged me to think that those unfortunate innocent animals have to fall in the hands of knowledge-less people.

In the 15 minuets-long video, a shirtless man is seen yelling and shouting (in cantonese) at the poodle to stand on only its hind legs while a woman was recording the event. After failed attempt of the poodle to do so (hence, its a dog -_-) the man then started slapping and tossing the hurt dog across the room.
I have not personally watch this video yet and i dont think i even want to.
Just looking at these pictures makes me sick to my stomach and im typing this being completely PISSED OFF!
Idiots! *pardon my language but without a doubt, they deserve more than just foul language.

I HOPE that the authorities would soon get those involved in the video in handcuffs and behind bars if not on the electric chair.

Please people, start behaving like one.

Books: For One More Day

Its funny that i suddenly just 'gave birth' to my interest in reading. And this book makes me wanna continue reading!
Mitch Albom's 'For One More Day' is indeed a heartfelt book worth the read.
The book tells a story of a guy who lost contacts with his daughter and ex-wife, this lead him to the point of suicidal and as he involved himself in an accident, he found himself back at his childhood home, talking to his dead mother for a day. I shall not reveal the ending and details. Thats up to you to read up on it.

Mitch writes with simplicity which makes the book readable to anyone and his imagination on this story will lead u to tears as u go from one chapter to another.
Of all the days i took time to read this book, it only took 2 days to finish it up. Yes, this is indeed a MUST-READ among her other work such as '5 People You Meet In Heaven' and 'Tuesdays With Morrie' (which i have yet start reading, though i WILL).

ps: me being young, i just realized they made a movie of this book too! I would strongly advise you to take a read first before watching the movie. :)

Honest TRUTH: Khurafat ~ Perjanjian Syaitan

So Its been a week since the movie has been released in our local cinemas, and words are flying out and about that this movie, KHURAFAT, is one of the best horror movie and a must-watch this year.

'Best'? 'Must-watch'?.....my question, which part???
As i confirmed my tickets, i was excited to know that what im about to watch is something my friends were tweeting about and how our local newspaper 'The Star' reviewed it as a horror movie filled with thrills, screams and suspense!
Little did i know i would walk out of the cinema feeling fooled, betrayed and above all, VERY upset with our local 'audiences'/film-critics on letting out false statement on KHURAFAT.

Perhaps some of you are saying im putting the standards a little bit too high on our local film industry and THIS was good enough. But if 'THIS' is good enough and my standards are 'too high', then when oh when will our industry starts improving into producing quality movies?
We will never go far if KHURAFAT is considered a good movie in the public eyes. Our audience plays a big cause, but thats another controversial topic.

Ok now, the FLAWS:
Typical malay scripts. Cliche' to-the-max and therefor, making it extremely unrealistic in our day to day conversation. Yes, it is always nice to read a well-spoken, formal dialogue BUT..that does NOT apply when it involves hearing it. Unless the movie is set way back in the early 19's or 18's, formal and polite scripts are just less believable to our present-day life-style. How can we relate ourself into the movie? When we cant relate, how would they expected us to enjoy the movie in full concentration? The audience will not get to feel or 'menghayati' the movie. And the number one criteria in making a good movie, is to make it as believable as possible.
Next we have the most obvious flaw through out the movie. "Camera, ACTION!" its like the director forgotten one important ingredient in making a realistic movie. LIGHTS!!! Can someone pleaseeeeeee turn on some lights on the set?! Yes i know the theme of the whole movie is based on chills and dark suspense moments, but when a scene is only lighted up with a 44 watts spotlight in the office, it makes us think of why haven't the hospital paid their bills yet? Unnecessary thoughts such as these will interrupt one's flow in the movie's storyline. In fact, there was a laughing chapter among the audience as one made funny assumptions on why there isn't enough lights in the scene!
Bad acting. Bad actresses. Nothing new in out local cinema problems. Who is in charge of the movie's casting dept? Why are they hiring such lousy actors? Can i even be extra cruel in being honest?..yes i can. UGLY UGLY actors! Not all of course. But some very unfavourable faces on the big screens. There are many many other actors who can play those roles much better. But it seems like talent and looks is blind when it comes to those in charge of the casting department. Yes, yes, yes. They were blind as a bat and the only thing they were doing was listening to the actors script reading without looking. Most probably why they didn't put the 'Doraemon' VO > Fasha Sandha in it. That, i must say was a good move. THE ONLY good move done.
Typical movie line and repeated scenes made KHURAFAT another obvious film to waste time one watching. Ghost at the back, girl looks back, ghost goes missing, girl looks around, girl does slow head turn to the obvious direction of the ghost..and TADAAAA there's the ghost!!!! Shocking and original right? *sarcasm*
You'll find yourself watching these types of scene through out the movie and if this sounds all too familiar, well it's probably because these are THE scenes used in EVERY local horror films. Predictable, typical, old-school, boring..YAWN ;o

There are plenty other details into making KHURAFAT a disappointment in my book, but biggest of all was that i held on to the false hope i got from local movie critics and easy-to-please audiences. Maybe it's my fault to think that finally, our Malaysian directors, that Syamsul Yusof ( who also starred in the movie. Another M.Night Syamalan? ), has finally come up with an original ghost movie with plenty of twists and unexpected story-line. Nevertheless we ( or in this case, I ) was lead to feeling nothing less than being annoyed and upset that i have wasted a good 1hour+ of my life! Will our Malaysian filmmakers ever make an original film? isn't it time already?! -__-

A friend i went to watch with said that KHURAFAT shouldn't have been nothing more than a telemovie and i have to put on my full agreement on that statement. KHURAFAT was not worth the hype.

If i had to rate KHURAFAT,
MOVIE rating: 2 stars.

New Year, New Changes

Happy new year to all my readers!
Yes, I'm well aware that I'm now about about 2 weeks overdue. My apologies.

Anyhow, On 11.1.11, I turned 22! Happy B'day to meeeeeeEEEEEEe.

No i dont feel old or physically different. Neither wings or (visible) horns have pop'd out from my head YET. And whats with this "So how does it feel being 22?" question??
How else am i suppose to feel?!

Moving on...on the start of 2011 itself, the 'universe' has showed and promised me change for the year. POSITIVE change!!! FINALLY!!!
2010 wasn't a good year for me. Filled with mischiefs and other countless dramatic moments i kept to myself.
This year, although its just beginning, Im happy to say that things are looking brighter for me.

So here are some updates on my personal life:
LOVE. oooohhhhh how i remember i hated that 'L' word. It has abandoned me for one whole year and now its BACK and its REAL.
Yes, I've been shooting cupid in the head lately but i forgot to shoot Karma! Careless me. tsk tsk
Now, Karma has played its card on me and im reminded again to NEVER say NEVER.
You might be asking "what's so bad if Karma has provided you love?". Well yes it is a positive thing and i WANT this kind of Karma on me. But how sure are we that this will last? What if things ends abruptly and im left with another broken heart yet again? Then THAT'S what you call a slap in the face.
Truth is, neither of us knows where this road will lead us. But a good friend once said to me recently ( and I try to remember this often ) > Every time your in a happy place, take a step back, breath in, enjoy the moment, and breath out. Do it again and again to make time moves slower. Its all about appreciation. And that is what WE have to do.
Simple...but difficult.

And what about my career you ask?

Yes peeps, The time has come. I shall not reveal much at this point of time, for im not yet officially working yet. But when i am, i'll keep ya'll posted aites!
One hint on this topic though: Im gonna be very busy and tired of flying ;)

I'd love to reveal more of my 2011 life but this will only lead from one yawn to another. Basically, i just wanted to update my blo with a simple 'Happy New Year' greeting but since im way overdue and its way too short, this was the best i can come up with.

There is a new Trending Topic on Twitter at the moment that has grabbed attention around the world and stress among Malaysians and Indonesians.

HATE MALAYSIA.

How did it all started and when?
Since Malaysia won the AFF Suzuki Cup against Indonesia yesterday.
Its been rumoured that the cause of Malaysia's win was by the help of lasers used among the audience. Not only has this 'distracted' the indonesian football team, but it also made Malaysia a cheating winner.

Now, i was never interested in the football match to begin with and the first thing i posted on my facebook status was > "im not bothered about which team will win, but instead im more interested to see the damage of the stadium after the match..."
Little did i know that the stadium ended up unscratched and it was Twitter that became the punching bag!

Yes, the Indonesian has planned smart and taken a BIG step to shame Malaysia to the world.

It is indeed an unfair war. To compare the amount of twitter users in Indonesia and Malaysia is a win-lose situation. Thus 'HATE MALAYSIA' is bound to 'trend'.

But did the Malaysian team really cheated? Was the Indonesian team suppose to celebrate their winning victory? Was it all a MISTAKE?
There's no denying that the use of lasers nowadays are growing popular among asian countries. One can get a high-quality laser for about RM80. Its common to see the use of such laser in clubs and party events.

But as in this case, it takes more than just a LASER for a football team to lose out on 3 goals!
If THIS is what lasers can do, then move over missiles, LASERS ARE THE NEW BOMB!

So the Indonesians are blaming on distraction?
First of all, this is a football match. A football match, such as these, are played in an open stadium in the sight of thousands of screaming fans among other noise makers. If your a stand up comedy fan and you love dirty+gay+asian+mom jokes, then most likely your a fan of famouse American born, asian stand up comedian...Margeret Cho.
Margeret released an album sometime last year and to everyone else, it sounded like a joke..but the joke is certainly on us!
The album, 'Cho Dependent', is nominated for the BEST COMEDY ALBUM OF THE YEAR in the upcoming Grammy award!
Well i dont see why it has no potential in winning either. Its seriously a hilarious album!
One of my favourite song on the album would have to be 'Eat Shit And Die'. LOL.
All of her songs are wacky and (somewhat) direct. Its an album for those who are in dying need to listen to in the car or at home and just laugh.

So now that she's got her album nominated, Margeret is in the doubt of what to wear for the red carpet event. in fact, she's even considering on wearing her 'poop' costume she wore on her 'Eat Shit And Die' music video.
You gotta love her :D

Been a while since you've last heard of me eh.... Well, last week i spent some time in paradise with the Gods.
For those who take things too literally, Im talking about Bali! a.k.a The Island Of The Gods.

I have a new addition to my techno family member.
Say "hello" to me new DSLR Camera...Canon EOS 550D!

Thanks to a friend of mine, he has decided to get this as my pre-Brithday gift for the reason its gonna be useful for my Bali trip this coming 28th (November) :D
But ofcourse its gonna take months of practice before i can claim myself being an expert user.
There's more than just lighting and position when it comes to snapping photographs....and that includes understanding every feature on the camera. Lots and lots of it.

So to all my friends who already own one of these and are good at it, im calling out on you guys to teach me how to master the click ;)

Once i have good pictures to share, i'll posted it up right away aites!

Jaclyn Victor was HARD ROCKING!!

The little lady with the power vocal took the stage at Hard Rock, KL and ROOOCKKED IT in conjuction of the PINKTOBER campaign for breast cancer awareness on the 31st of October 2010.

The show began shortly past 11pm and the crowd was all ready for action. Jac came up to me before the show and told me that she was NERVOUSE! What??....Miss Jaclyn Victor nervouse??? strange but true.
Her last showcase was about 2 years ago held at Planet Hollywood.

She opened up her show with 2 numbers off Katy Perry. 'California Girls' and 'Hot and Cold'.
Which to My cousin's delight who was dressed up as Katy Perry! Blue wig and pink dress.

After the 2 songs, I had the privilege of taking off her boots! Yes, Jac performed the whole night through barefoot. hahaha
She explains that the floor was too slippery and gravity can be unfriendly to her at times. (Remember the infamous RTM stage fall?)
And to my treat > I was mentioned in another blog as "a HANDSOME GUY from the audience to take off her boots" !!!
AWWWWW...im flattered <3

Jac continued the show with mostly covers of other popular songs such as Kelly Rowland's 'When Love Takes Over' ( In which i personally suggested her to sing and a job well done indeed!), Glee's 'Dont Stop Believing', Shakira's 'Waka Waka', Lady gaga's 'Poker Face' and 'Just dance', Shontelle's 'Impossible', Guns and Roses' 'Sweet Child Of Mine' and many more.
As for her own songs, jac sang a medly of Senandung Beradu, Gemilang, Satu Harapan, Cepat-cepat and Berjalan Di Bawah Pohon Asmara.

The show lasted a full hour and an hour..is not enough!
No one can get enough of her high pitch pro-ness.

It has been proven before that Jaclyn Victor has talent to be versatile in singing different types of genre and all those present that day held witness that she still carries that criteria in becoming one of Malaysia's singing treasure.

Congrats to Jaclyn Victor on the success of the show and here's to many more!

I was shocked on recieving a BBM message earlier today about the popo fining every driver carrying fake/pirated/burn CDs and other goods at roadblocks for RM400 PERcd!

Check this out:

To all those CDs lover pls beware!

Please do not keep any pirated or burned CDs, DVDs, or VCDs in your car.

Police and Domestic Trade & Consumer Affairs Ministry's enforcement division in Malaysia have started the operation to search and fine anyone who keep pirated disc inside their car especially through road block at all main road and expressways.

If any pirated or burned disc found inside your car will be charged RM400 per disc. Example 30 discs found means the fine will be RM12,000.

This is real. Another friend of mine from Seagate, today during lunch time, 5 CD x RM400 = RM2,000

One of the Plexus colleague brother-in-law caught by Police due to pirated CD in the car on the way to town for lunch with his friend in the afternoon. One CD fined RM400.

Please disseminate this to all your friends who are driving in Malaysia .

Like Vegemite, some would find it hard to understand and hate it, others would be addicted to 'tweeting' and loving it!

Twitter, as most of you know, is currently one of the top socializing network in the internet to date.
The amount of users on Twitter is double the size of the U.S.A!

What is Twitter?
Twitter is this simple network which lets users let other users know whats 'on their mind'. Be it random thoughts, announcements, informations or/and even for advertisements use.
You type it out, We read it...and thats that
If however, your 'followers' have anything to ask of you or wants to communicate to you through Twitter, they can do so either by replying to you by typing out the 'at' symbol ( @ ) followed by the user's profile name....or if its more private, sending you a direct message. vice versa.

The fun of twitter comes after you reached your desired number of followers. But to attract/gain followers (aside from friends), you first have to tweet things that of which attracts a stranger's attraction. Be it about entertainment, politics, sports..you name it!
it all depends on who YOU really are.
Some prefer to keep their tweets private. By privatizing your tweets, the public can no longer read your tweets and this will make your twitter account less noticeable. And therefor, Only those who personally knows you or have heard of you through other resources will requesting to be one of your followers.

Twitter is an important form of advertising nowadays. Major companies aren't only activating facebook accounts, but are now promoting their products through twitter.

Yes, the days of Myspace are slowly dying and friendster is long gone.

A word of advise: Be very careful of what you tweet. You'll never know which one of your followers are stalking your every move.
Now i mut admit that personally, i didnt like twitter at first. Never really understand the point of it...But now, i tweet almost everything i think about. Its like a literal version of talking to myself in my head. Only this time, everyone can read it out loud. hahaha.

So if your a new user, and your not having an interest in tweeting, give it some time. Maybe, just maybe, you'd be addicted like us millions out there. And if you dont, there's always the 'deactivate account' button for you.
Either way, use Twitter wisely. It can either be your best friend, or your worst enemy.

I AM MUSLIM is the first book i've actually read (and finished it!) in 2 days!!! its a record!
yeeeeaaahhhhh....

Written by Dina Zaman, I AM MUSLIM is not another self-help book on religion or some sort. But instead, It is the way the author herself sees Islam in her point of view through experiance.
Dina Zaman writes with honesty and realism. Also keeping her literal side on her Malay roots! Yes, this is the book written by a Malaysian for Malaysian.
Ok, maybe thats not entirely true but thats what i feel anyway.

In this book, i've learned the different ways Islam is practiced around the world. And my favourite part of the whole book is that it constantly points out our hypocrisy ways the Malays practices Islam and and the way our government seems to take things a bit too far at times. Which is all true and un-debateable!

A big slap on our faces in deed. But thats only because it is TRUE, hands down.

But apart from face slapping, I AM MUSLIM also points out the true beauty of Islam and its ways. Readers will find themselves learning and understanding the basic principles of the religion along the way.
And all of this is done through story telling.
I remind you, this isn't a self-help book!

The book is non-muslim friendly and therefor, everyone can read and enjoy it.
So i would recommend everyone reading my blog to go get a copy whenever you can and see if you can beat my record! hahahaha.

Love sick...or Sick of love?

(sorry that all i ever talk about is LOVE. But thats what been playing a HUGE role in everyone's life)

Here i am sitting in my room, listening to songs i used to listen 4 years back.
I remember myself well...obese, naive, playful, in love but oh so clueless.
Yes, clueless of what the future has to offer me....a whole lotta BULLSHIT!

So my story dates back in high school. I had a crush, or can i say crushes, none of it worked out. This was most likely due to my two enemies...One called Tripple chin, the other simply Mr Tummy. Yes yes, i did mentioned i was obese!

Back then, i thought BEING in love is exactly like how we see it in the movies. A picture perfect vision.
So i was trying hard to be in love. I've already fallen in love too many times, but i never manage to successfully had an official partner. Meanwhile, everyone else around me was going through their high school love story..or as what we would call it, 'puppy love' moments.
Deep down i was envious, jealous and upset with those lovebirds but yet inside, im just waiting or MY moments.

(4 years later, now i know that those moments was only for me to witness through someone else).

My biggest crush was a certain someone in my class. ~Kind, gentle, smart, and honest~These were the qualities i was attracted to. Physically, there was nothing great to even look at.
'The heart was what matters'.
But a year passed and before we knew it, school was over and college parted us both. But we still kept in contact although now we're basically in strangersville.
But we never had those intimate moments, nor did we had a mutual interest. It was ALL me.

College gave me the idea that i might have a new start...or a beginning at all, to be exact!
But tsk tsk Atif, how wrong were you.
I went through the repeated dance of my failing love story.
But thats ok! Love is beautiful, pure, honest and graceful. And somewhere out there, i'll find THE ONE :)
LOL!!!!!

I kept my head held high~
I kept my hope strong at heart~
I held my faith strongly in love's hand~
I stayed on the look out for my 'Moment'.

It never came.....

2 years back, i had my first official love. Oh i was on cloud 9!
Happy as could be, i was relieved and impress at myself that i finally had someone to call my OWN!
YAY.
Shortly after, REALITY hit me in the face!
And things ended only after 2 months.
I went throught the same progress repeatedly for the next 2 years with many many (practically countless) others.
Untill now, finally, i've open my eyes and bare witness on how the world actually works.

Love isn't a fairytale nor is LIFE.
Well, not mine atleast.

These days, "I Love You"s no longer sweep me off my feet.
It no longer thrills me of the fact that love has 'found' me. And i dont believe in it either. unfortunately, Cupid has lost its power on me and all arrows are now broken.

Some might say im just 'frightened' of love, others may say im just heartless. Which is it?
maybe its a little bit of both. Besides, why do we always need to choose between one another?

Love has lost its quality to me. And maybe i spoke to soon. Maybe my time has yet to come..after all, im only 21.
But for the moment, i'll stick to what i know and learned from that funny cruel four letter word....

Bali oh Bali....

Wazzup guys!
time for some personal wrap on my Bali trip last weekend.

oh man,.....it was a really great holiday. Loads of fun with little of sleep.
my poor eyes.

Anyway, our adventure began on the th of August 2010. The 7 of us (me, my brother, 2 of my cousins and 3 of my friends) took the 9am Flight out of KL on Airasia. I only managed to get an hour of sleep the night before due to 'excitmentness' :p

So already i've lost 7 hours of my sleep and the 3 hour flight didn't help either. But thats just because i guess im not really a 'flying sleeper'.
We arrived in Bali around 1pm and left for our hotel in Denpasar called...(are you ready?...)....Hotel Taman Suci on Jalan Imam!!!
holy moly. ;D

So it wasn't one of our planned hotel to stay in during the trip. This was due to the failed bookings on another hotel we planned on staying in instead.

Our first 3 hours on the island already proved to promise us a very crazy holiday. Booze was our first local friend and sober was unheard of.

We then travelled to Kuta to have a taste of the local scenes. We even lost our way and walked an hour around town only to find ourselves back on the same street. we had a really good laugh there.
By the time we were back to our hotel, i was sloshed and went to zzz at 1am.

On the second day we moved to Bakongsari Hotel.
Our personal favourite :)

We ddint waste much time in our rooms and quickly made our way to the amazing beach!
wow wow wow.
The sand, the sea, the waves, and my oh my the eye candies!!!
it was beautiful in every way possible. hehehe. beautiful~
I think the only thing that spoiled the environment there was us. lol
some of us had a dip in the sea, some of us decided to get a temporary tattoo. Me, well im just there to get burned and stare at all the passing 'goodies' and just...drool.
Surfing and kite flying are 2 of the main activities there.

i felt like i was watching a coca-cola Ad here. ;p

Throughout our 4 days visit, we managed to do some interesting activities on the island.
River rafting was one of them!
woohoo......now THAT was a lotta fun!
the 2 hour rollercoaster ride got us all wet and thrilled out of our heads.

I didnt manage to take a lot of photos on my Blackberry. It was simply too expensive for me to make calls or even use my bb internet service there. So im sorry for that.

After the rafting trip, we were brought to a beautiful temple situated on a cliff overlooking the breathtaking ocean, giving us the most spectacular view i've seen!
it was just...WOW!!!

(i took this picture personally..heheehh)

And there, we witness the kecak fire dance which tells the story of a princess, giants, white monkey and a sneaky king who wants to kidnap the princess.
The dance was so mesmerizing till we forgotten to look at the sunset as well and when we realize it, its already dark.

We had dinner on the beach after...all good :)

That night, i managed to experiance the local night life....we went to 4 clubs. One of them > Facebar. no..not facebook..facebar.
And unlike Malaysia, here, they have after party clubs. So at 4am, we left to a club called 66. Whats unique here?...BUNGEE JUMPING!
All 6 of us took the leap of trust. All except me that is. After a really painfull and terrifying experiance on a bungee ball, i was just not willing to take the risk on bungee jumping that night.

The first 2 days in Bali was a slow one..but the next 2 days just flew by us with the speed of a falcon!
On our last night there, 3 of us (me, my brother and a friend) went on to party up and get trashed in Facebar again. Here, i was extra friendly and made lots and LOTS of friends! hahahaa....i miss them already :(
For our after party, we headed to a club jus 10 minuets away from our Hotel...DEE JAY CLUB! One of the best clubs i've been to!!!!!!
The music was FANTASTIC, the lights was sparkling brilliant and the podium was a concert-standard stage!
we partied on till 8am and woke up later at 10am to get our stuff packed.

The 4 days was an unforgetable adventure and we cant wait to be back on Bali and meet our local 'friends' there again and go for a bike ride around the crazy streets of Kuta.
Till then, looks like i just gotta get used to being back home again. :(

Thanks Bali for the tiring, painful, thrilling yet FUN experiance.

'Decorate' by YUNA!

Known as Malaysia's Norah Jones, Yuna is one of the country's most precious diamond in the music industry.
I had a listen to her 2nd album- 'Decorate' - and i was left in aww.
One word can described this album....Awesomely Beautiful! (okay so its 2 words but thats only because i really think its worth calling it AWESOME!).

'Decorate' consists of 10 tracks.
1. gadis semasa
2. these streets
3. penakut
4. fireworks
5. random awesomeness
6. rocket
7. permission
8. cinta sempurna
9. decorate
10. super something & dan sebenarnye

So im not a professional critic....but here's MY point of view on each track.

-Gadis Semasa-
previously known as 'Lagu Baru' before Yuna had a name for it, I can honestly see this track to be used as one of Grey's Anatomy soundtrack. But only because it reminds me strongly of the kind of music used in the show.
And therefor i wont be surprise one day we'll be hearing this as one of our local drama/movie soundtrack.
Gadis semasa talks about how typical boys always seems to want to find that certain girl who is willing to give him everything, not seeing what he already has infront of him and is just too inlove with himself. A situation both boys and girls have/been/will go through. Therefor its universally an acceptable song..if you understand malay ofcourse ;)

-These Streets-
This track has a more urban indie feel to it. I tend to imagine myself walking down the dark corners of an empty street. But im just explaining the music's FEEL in it.
What it's about? > When a relationship gets complicated due to the emptiness of a dying spark, one can only wonder where its going....
need i say more?

-Penakut-
Another one of my top favourites, 'Penakut' explains the complication of one's intention on another due to uncertain wants. Love is not all easy right? Especially when one does not belong to the other. long story short. The music in this is more simple, sad and direct. And thats all thats needed to make a song so beautiful yet strongly expressive.

-Fireworks-
There's always an up and down. In my book, this is one of those songs i have yet to have a 'liking' to it.
If i have to describe a scenario for this melody, it'll be a group of teens high on drugs in a room while the visions blur in and out spirally out of control. Can you picture it?..Keep in mind this is all only my point of view ya!
what the song is about? > ummmm....... (im too distracted by that image, i can hardly focus on the words).

-Random Awesome-
Back to being sober!
'Random awesome' is just awesome (period)
The melody in this one is just happily breathtaking yet simple. Its talks about falling in love and keeping it in between themselves.
It expresses the beauty and thrill of finding new love perfectly. This is one of those songs that just makes you want to smile quietly.

-Rocket-
If you're a Yuna follower then this track would be all too familiar.
One of the 3 tracks from her previous album, 'Rocket' talks about being appreciative and happy to always have a partner to go through life with.
An easily love-able track, the melody here is so bubbly and fun...you can sense the happiness and love in this one. And Yuna still somehow keeps it simple and pleasing!
Now, all 3 tracks from the previous album had work done on the instrumentals. Here, there's more background vocals and extra instruments.
This track was recorded in LA.

-Permission-
Catchy indie beat.
'Permission' explains how one cope with a break-up. Pretending is all what she's trying to do. To pretend to move on and be happy when in fact, she's upset and empty.
Once love ends, EMPTINESS sets in everything an ex couple shared.
Just a brief explanation about this track.
Come to think of it, this track should just be tittled 'Empty'. :p

-Cinta Sempurna-
aahhhhh....'Cinta sempurna'
Another of my favourite from her previous album. One of the most emotional, heartfelt, sad malay song to date.
'Cinta Sempurna' tells how one is nto able to accept another's love and commitment due to fear of...perfection.
Did i not mention that love is complicated?
Well this song just states that not everything thats perfect ends beautifully.
The 'improvements' made on this track includes the background vocals and added violin instrumentals. classic.

-Decorate-

'Decorate' stories how one has been rejected but stays where they are in hopes of the ex 'comeback'. A sad song actually.
Its even more sad for us listeners when we only get 1 minuet of it. :(

-Super Something-
Back to being catchy, 'Super something' is another soundtrack potential song (to my ears) ;)
To me, it pretty much tells how Yuna is dedicating this song to all her friends who made it possibe for her to be what she is now...from nothing, to a super something!
But the beauty of this song more relates on how it can also be dedicated to just anyone who's made one very happy.

and finally....

-Dan Sebenarnye-
Yuna's winning song. The one that brought her to the limelight, making her known, and made her the big winner at the recent AIM.
'Dan Sebenarnye' is more of a rebound song (or so thats what she said in a radio interview in LA).
What the story is about?> Being in denial after a break-up. A sense of hope and 'what ifs' still holds on to one's bitter heart.
Unlike the other 2 previous song, 'Dan Sebenarnye' has been improvised in a total different way towards it's feel and emotion.
You can consider it an acoustic version of the song but with added instrumentals and better vocal clarity and performance.
To me, this is a better expression of the song. mellow...

So there you have it peeps...Yuna's DECORATE.
Worth the money to get.
The album will be sold nation wide in AUGUST.
Yuna has proven to herself and everyone else that she's a talented artist.

However, if you've been to her showcase or has been youtubing her performances the you'd noticed that some of the tracks she performed are not in the album...example: coffee.
This is due to its release only in her american album. darn....gotta get my hands on them somehow! When there's a will, there's a way baybeh :D

Pink received a real-life scare Thursday when she was rushed to a hospital after falling from a harness that suspended her above stage at a concert in Nuremberg, Germany. According to Gossip Cop, the acrobatics enthusiast fell from the harness directly onto a steel barricade; the show ended immediately.

Ever upbeat, the 30-year-old singer took time to tweet her fans while riding in the ambulance to the hospital: “to all my nurnberg fans…I am embarrassed and very sorry. I’m in ambulance now but I will b fine.” While exact details regarding what song she was performing at the time have not been released, it is likely she was performing her trapeze/ aerial-silk routine to “Glitter in the Air,” a show-stopping number for which she received a standing ovation at this year’s Grammy Awards.

Pink (real name: Alicia Moore) later returned to her Twitter account to explain how the accident happened: “[I] didn’t get clipped in2 harness correctly, drug me off stage, fell in2 barricade.” Amazingly enough, Moore kept fans updated throughout her hospital visit. “Nothings broken,” she reported. “No fluid in the lungs, just seriously sore. It's as if i woken up in a whole new different world.
One minuet i was crying my heart out, the next, i woken up feeling rather 'carefree'!

What is this feeling?
Why am i actually smiling of the fact i lost yet another love interest in my life?
It's as if a huge rock has been lifted off me and i can breath....yes, BREATH!!!
Im finally breathing again...but this time, solo.
Is it true?...i finally came to terms of peace with myself for being single?!
yes, i think so!

All those talks i hear people saying how they enjoy being single was once (i thought) was mere self-comfort therapy. Now its happened to me :)
This is all unfamiliar territory to me.

Ok, so here's the story..lets get personal ;)

If you've been loyally following my blog (or personally know me), you'd know that God forbids me to have a stable relationship. The longest i had was for 5 months. period.
I ended my last relationship (which lasts for no more than 2 months) in December 2009. Since then, i've been searching high and low for my next potential long term relationship. Dating is all too familiar for me. one after another....fail fail fail.
Ok. But i never give up. There's this little voice in me thats saying i WILL eventually end up with 'THE ONE'. I call that lying bitch, Hope.
So heartbreaks kept walking on me like im a doormat. I let myself hurt everytime, i think it's becuz i let them hold a piece of my heart untill they decide to drop it. cRAsH on the ground. And i ended up picking up and putting all the shattered pieces back together over and over again. This is partly my fault for falling in love too easily. But these are the things you just cant help yourself right?

So anyway, was dating 'L' for a month now.
'L' just got out of a 2 years relationship about a week before i met 'L' and 'L' approached me at a club. We talked, exchanged numbers, kissed (yes...THAT was the beginning point of my mistake) and promised to meet up each other over lunch. Back on the dating game. Things was going smoothly (or so atleast in my point of view) and along the way i gave 'L' my newly repaired heart. SHIT!
We texted each other everyday, i missed 'L' on every single second i live on without the sight of 'L' with me. I was offically in love. So i learn not to waste time, i confessed my feelings, emotions and even future plans (Atif, atif, atif....reading this back i realize what a dumbass i was (am)). And after all this, the response i got from 'L' was "im interested in you, but i keep reserving my feelings from you..but i promise to TRY to open up to you". To TRY to open up???
Could i have been anymore naive? yes...i let 'L' had the best of me.
Then bla bla bla, last week (as of the day this blog is written) we went to the club that 'introduced' us. But we came separately. Long story short here's what happened...

'L' didn't approached me the whole night! As a matter of fact, 'L' even avoided me! yes, 'L' literally tried running away. Ouch eh...
Then from above (2nd floor), i was the watchful eye of a bitter eagle. Then i saw IT. 'L' was locking lips with 3 different man whores (in which 'L' calls them friends). Double ouch!

Now today i wake up thinking of 'L' but without hoping or with any possibilities. I live my life for today, with no lover, no future plans, and no/less 'L'.
And im feeling rather OK with myself! :)
Honestly i am..i think partly thanks to ALL my friends. Yes, friends are Gods way of telling you that no matter what, other people will pretend to give shit about you. And it works i must say! ;p
So YAY!!!

Now im just gonna flirt around, socialize myself like any happy single boys out there.
hmmmm...come to think of it, i might be turning into 'L' myself!
But if its one differents that saparate me from 'L' is that, when love (true, real, honest love) comes knocking on my door, i'll welcome it with open arms..and legs eventually *wink
Becuz i KNOW what i want...and that is STILL to be loved back.
Till then, its my life to enjoy and no more bitch whispering lier called HOPE in my head can make me go through this again. Enough is enough.

MTV World Stage, Malaysia 2010

For the second time, Sunway Lagoon will host this exciting event on the 31st of July 2010.
Unlike last year's line up (Pixie Lott, Boys like girls, The All American Rejects, Hoobastank..etc), this year is however much less in quantity. But, that doesnt make it any less in quality.

Come this years event, Malaysians will get the chance to see Katy Perry, Tokio Hotel, The Wonder girls and Bunkface live baybeh!!!

WOHOOO!

Personally, im most excited to catch Katy Perry and The Wonder Girls live in action!
infact, i recently told myself that if the korean all-girls pop sensation 'Wonder Girls' are making an appearance in my country, I MUST GO. And now, tadaaaa...here they come!

And then we have KATY PERRY. Im sure i need not to further explain myself here...its KATY PERRY!!! :D

'Safety' talks about being in love (ofcourse) and as a couple, you are there for each other's safety. A place of comfort.

But no matter how, i love love love it!

the living legend, the voice, the true diva....These were what Ms. Whitney Houston was once known for and labelled.

But that was then..and this is now.

We've all heard about her fans walking away halfway throughout her concert all around the world (even when she performed in Malaysia, half the audience left just 20 minuets through the show..i was there). In London, Whitney even had to apologize to her fans for her awful performance. And just recently, hundreds of fans once again walked out of her concert in Denmark.
sad sad sad.

But this time around, her fail to wow the crowd with her vocal is not what caught the attention of the public...Ms nippy here has finally ballooned up!

yes, she has actually bloated to 175 pounds!!!
whoah.

I remember she once said in an interview that she'll never be fat/overweight/big (which ever you call it) but it seems she spoke way too soon.

Come one Whitney!
Your already losing your voice...do u have to lose your looks as well?

hmmmmmm. But then again, She is only human.
But this human made the biggest mistake of her life.
DRUGS.

The rumours were hard to believe but now its true...Ryan Seacrest is the new crew for Malaysia's fastest growing radio station...Fly.Fm!

A delightful surprise indeed.

Starting 1st Jun 2010, Ryan Seacrest will be on air live from Hollywood exclusively for Fly.Fm every working day from 1pm till 4pm.

There's really nothing much for me to talk about other than what u can expect from his show..interviews from hollywoods hottest stars, chart topping music...and the rest, us Malaysian will just have to tune in to see what else Ryan has got to offer.

As from the date this blog is written, Its his second day being a Fly.Fm family member.

Ryan even tweeted saying "big shoutout to everyone listening to my show in Malaysia on @flyfm958! Im reading ur tweets...u guys rock"

Its official now that Fly.Fm is the coolest radio station in Malaysia.

~Kelly Clarkson live in Malaysia concert review~

She came, she sang, she conquered!
The 'original' American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, paid a visit to her Malaysian fans on the 25th of April 2010..on her Birthday!
And i was lucky enough to be able to catch her live at Stadium Bukit Jalil, KL.

The show started roughly after 7pm with Malaysian Idol, Jaclyn victor and One In A Million winner, Suki as opening acts.
Jaclyn Victor wowed the crowd with her vocal power by performing her first track on her 3rd album, Koleksi Gemilang (a medly combination of 25 malay songs).
Then, Suki hit the stage by perfroming some malay song ( which i dont know the tittle of) ;p

Finally, time has come...Kelly Clarkson came on stage roughly after 8.30pm with her opening song, All I Ever Wanted!
Dressed in her same outfit that she wore in her Australian concert the day before, Kelly decided to go barefoot! And she did this throughout the show.

Her Malaysian fans obviously adored her as they went wild throughout her present on stage and they even sang along beautifully to her songs. 'We' even tried singing happy birthday to her but was interrupted when she started singing another song. Kelly acknowledge our attempt after the song though ;p

Kelly is a fantastic vocalist and performer.
She's real, energetic, fun and you can see that she's very comfortable on stage among her fans and thats what makes me adore her even more!

i must admit that i wasn't really a big Kelly Clarkson fan before, but now after watching her live, im in love with this lady.

The show ended at 10pm and it felt like she just started minutes ago.

If Kelly Clarkson is making her way to a city near you, i'd strongly recommend you to go get your tickets!

ps: sorry i have no photos of her on stage for i was completely too excited to take pictures when she's performing..lol

MUSiC> Gravity

One of my new favorite artist from the UK...Pixie Lott!
I've heard her album and i'll give it a 4 out of 5 ****

One of my favourite track on the album however has gotta be 'Gravity'.
The song tells the story of how she is in love with a guy but everyone around her says he's not good for her and that she should leave him for her own good.
But ofcourse the power of love sometimes wins, and she ended up not being able to leave him everytime she tries....just like gravity. You can only jump at your highest but your feet will be back on the ground.

One of those songs im sure many can relate to.

The video is simple.
Its shows her doing a contemporary dance in a black tutu, jumping off from the ground in a very nice formal outfit in slow motion and showing her show girl side in a short black wig and sexy black dressing (which reminds me a lot of Catherine Zeta-Jones actually).

Its not one of those dance song, neither is it a slow emotional song...its sort of has a very 'inspirational' vibe to it. But thats only my opinion. Check it out and judge for yourself :)

Some may be unfamiliar with Che'nelle, but one thing's for sure is that here in Malaysia she's a household name and we're proud of it!

Cheryline Lim (Che'nelle's actual name) was born in Sabah, Malaysia.
She moved to Perth, Australia at the age of 10 with her family and studied her way into the music scene untill somebody recognized her talent and signed her up under a successful recording label in the US...Virgin Records America!

Since then, just like most artist out there, she's decided to choose a stage name for herself. Thus, Che'nelle was born!
Her music genre is more raggae-club-pop.

Back in Australia, Che'nelle was once an opening act for Kanye West's concert. This was one of the way she gained recognition down under.

But her big break came after her first single was released...'I Fell In Love With The Dj'.
It was an instant hit!
A smart approach indeed. I mean, how could you not like it?
Its Catchy, the beat is dance-able and the lyrics was written specially for a club scene.
So it's no wonder that all the clubs all over the world was (and still is) blasting the song away.
Once again..SMART ;)

Che'nelle then wrote and sang a soundtrack for 'Take The Lead'. A hit movie that put her on the charts yet again.
The track is simply tittled 'Teach me how to dance'.
The song is an awesome fast dance track and was even heard on 2 famouse reality dance show > 'Dancing With The Stars' and 'So you Think You Can Dance'.

By this time, Che'nelle has grown a large fanbase in Japan.
There, she's made a name for herself not only as a singer and entertainer but also a model. sexyyyyy *wink wink
And to reward her japanese fans, Che'nelle even released another single there tittled 'First Love'. One of my favourites.

In the music industry however, Che'nelle is no stranger...she's literally rubbed shoulders with some of the biggest names in music and even collabrated with some> namely, Colby O Donnis for 'Razor/stranger' and even the Mr. Lover Lover himself, Shaggy for 'Running The Muck'.
Che'nelle is also known for doing covers of other famouse songs (in which she'll turn them into a more sexy female version) such as 'Hot', 'Bed' and even a reply of 'Trading places' in which she kept Usher's vocals in it and turned it into a hot hot hot duet!

Che'nelle may seems like one of those sexy im-too-good-for-you celebrity but in person, she's still Cheryline Lim from Sabah. Humble.
I may not have personally met her before but im always keeping myself updated with her through facebook and myspace (this was way before facebook :p)
And she's never failed to reply any of my messages.
And from this i can tell that she's down to earth and loves keeping her fans connected.

Now Miss Che'nelle is out again with her second album soon to be released and her 2nd single is called 'Feel Good'. A feel good song without a doubt!
One of my favourite slower songs of the album has also gotta be 'Missing' and 'Venus and Mars'.

To all those reading this, i'd recommend you readers to go ahead and take a listen. She's a fantastic singer with an angelic voice and a good entertainer.
Im just waiting for the moment when she'll push Rihanna to the side of the stage! (though she doesnt like it when anyone compares her to Rihanna cuz each and everyone artist should be respected accordingly).

But nevertheless, keep your ears wide open and pay attention to Che'nelle cuz she's got a story for us all ;)

Tasik Kenyir Quake

A mild earthquake with a magnitude of 2.6 on the Richter scale occurred at 11.10pm Thursday, causing mild tremors that was felt within the Tasik Kenyir area.

The earthquake which had its epicenter at 43km Southwest of Kuala Terengganu and 22km West of Kuala Berang, Terengganu was the second in more than 20 years.

Malaysian Meteorological Department's (MMD) Geophysics and Tsunami division director Dr Mohd Rosaidi Che Abas said the recent earthquake might be linked to the one that occurred in the same area in 1980 or may have been caused by the release of tectonic gas.

Dr Rosaidi said Kenyir was hit by a 4.6 magnitude earthquake in the 1980s when the Kenyir Dam was being filled.

"The earthquake last night may have been linked to the one that happened 20 years ago or the release of tectonic gas from the gas bearing basin or the plate tectonic setting in Terengganu," he said when contacted by Bernama Thursday.

He added that since it was the first case since the 1980s, his department would work closely with the Mineral and Geosciences Department to find the actual cause of the quake.

People should not worry as the 2.6 scale earthquake was a mild one, he said. - Bernama

Its her first nomination and win after being in the industry for about 15 years..so CONGRATS Sandra!

Sandra Bullock is one of my favoutrite actresses in Hollywood and i cant believe that this is her first win..but most of all, her first nomination?!

She's a fantastic actress and she has a bubbly and real personality and im always interested in watching a movie that has her in it.

Never the less, her win is wayyyy overdue and im hoping she's gonna be bringing home more of that little gold men.

So to Sandra Bullock, good luck for the future and keep up the excellent work!

Gone too soon

Its been about a month since my last blog and im sorry for that. Its just that there aint anything worth blogging about lately. Yes, my life is a bore!

However, today i was awaken from a phone call by my singaporean buddy Naz, breaking a very shocking and tragic news to me. Our dear friend, Koi, has passed on to the next life.

Let me tell you a little history about me and Koi...

Well, i first met koi with Naz in KL. Wondering the streets in searach of a karaoke joint, but everythign was closed. it was close to 3 am. DUH! :p
We ended up lepaking at Naz's hotel room having McD breakfast. Oh and on top of that, my eyes was in horrible shape with all the crying from the 'A' drama! wek wek wek

After that, me and Koi kept contact through...what else than our trusty facebook! hehehe

Soon after, we met up again for a movie at Midvalley. Angels and Demons!
He hates the movie though. And before that, i had my first bite of Carls jr. delicious! And yet again my eyes was in monster form..not cuz of my endless tears, but cuz of a contact lense incident. sucky sucky~

That was a month back and it was the second and last time we've ever met.

Earlier this week, we planned out our third meeting. And yes, another movie outing was planned.
Thursday feb 25th, 6.30 pm, 'from paris with love' at Pavilion.

But my dear Koi had no choice but to answer's God's call on Wednesday, 24th feb.
Cardiac Arrest and asthma.

And now, he is to be with God Almighty.

So there i am standing outside his house at 10+ am with jac to accompany me for our third meeting. This time round, my eyes was in healthy condition! But he wasnt able to see that. And im sorry for not spending more time with you Koi.

I know you wanted to get to know me better and so did i. But trust me, i love you more then ever now.

You will be missed my friend. We love you always. Rest in peace. Al-Fatihah

Not much has happened in between new years eve till today...im still heartbroken, fat and desperate...pethetic.

On the strike of 12 am, 11 January 2010, i recieved a phone call from one of my close/bestfriend from high school..Ganesh. This really bought a smile to my face...remembering on how much trouble we put ourselves in back in the days...hahaha

Then, 'A' called me soon after....i was confused in emotions..happy but upset. hmmmm

yes, i did expected the call but i never imagined that 'A' didn't say 'i love you' at the end of the call. never..

I slept it off soon but early in the morning i got a surprise phone call from Aunty Maggie wishing me a happy bitrhday! Aunty Maggie is Jaclyn Victor's mom and i felt so touched and happy till i felt cheerfull throughout the day. THANK YOU AUNTY MAGGIE :)))

The sms-es and phone calls continued the whole day and thanked God that i was blessed with friends who cared. So, THANK YOU TO ALL MY FRIENDS!!!

A very sweet friend of mine, Bie, even wrote a blog about our friendship to wish me a happy birthday too!

WOW...i was (and still am) really touched by this.

Bie (or 'baby, is what i call him) is one of my bestfriends from ASWARA bout 3 years back.

And all i can say about this friend of mine is that he's one in a million who actually appreciates friends!..and he SHOWS it.

A very valuable lesson to me as well.

FUCK LOVE and all that bullshit....friends and family is all that we need in this life and remember that, people!

anyway, im 21 now and im gonna try to love life more.

Remember 'A'?

Well....'A' has made it clear to me that responsibility and work commitment has taken the best of 'A'.

That left me dumped for the new years...what a way to go..tsk tsk.

Really la, now im finally proud to admit that LOVE scares the shit out of me!

i had all my dreams, hopes and future between us and then within a day...all wasted.

im deeply hurt and saddened that 'A' gave up that easy while here i am still holding on to hopes that somehow with some miracle, it's gonna be worth it in the end..please please oh please.

Yes yes...It's true people!

i may be Malaysian by nationality but im Australian when it comes to taste..hahaha

The first time i tasted this 'misunderstood spread' i was shocked to the taste buds as extremely as possible but after a few more spreads on toasts, i finally had fallen deeply in love with this wonders-in-a-jar <3

What is vegemite you may ask?....

well, Vegemite is actually yeast extract from the brewers!

Thats right. And i dont even drink...lol

What does it taste like?

Salty salty salty with a bit of a beefy and bitter taste.

Doesn't really sounds delicious eh....But once your used to it, trust me, heaven it is :p~

Give it a go and take your time finishing up the whole jar (by weeks, months or even years) and we'll see if you'll change your view on Vegemite based on the first time.

R.I.P Brittany Murphy

"2day the world lost part of its sunlight" is what Ashton Kutcher said on Twitter and i have to agree.

Brittany Murphy is a stunning actress with a bubbly personality and she's one of my favourites as well.

It came as a shock to me when i learned about her sudden death on the 20th December of 2009.

Brittany died of a cardiac arrest in her bathroom (the same day my granddad suffered the same attack but thankfully survived) and was pronounced dead at 10.04 am (LA time).

She will be deeply missed and will be celebrated as one of the best A-list actresses around..

Jaclyn Victor managed to organize a simple yet fun high-tea gathering that day and she had a surprised for me as well!!!

a few weeks back, we met at a fren's b'day bash and we sang a duet of halo together..this time it happened again.

I was just enjoying my meal when Jac called out for me and Sunni (birthday boy) to come up stage and sing an acapella version of halo together. HAHAHHA...let me remind u that it was not planned!

Sunni over exegerate the song and that leads me and Jac to 'lostville'..lol..

Then we sang gemilang together.

It was not much of an activity but the whole point of the gathering is to..well,...gather! kan kan kan..haha

but I got more than anyone else did though ;p

There were roughly about 50 fans there and it was just nice :)

She even had a surprise birthday cake to Sunni..so sweet.

PS: Jac and Zalekha organized the event a day before, so kudos to the girls!

'A'...i just LOVE 'A' !!!! Seriously!

'A' has been nothing but a sweet dream with beautiful surprises. Everything 'A' has done for me is just sweet and thoughtful.

Its been almost 3 weeks now and we are growing stronger and deeper in love.

I have to admit that im not really the kindest boy on earth or neither am i everyone's cup of tea but 'A' has proven to me that in everyone's life, there comes a soul so true and honest in loving one's self <3

'A' has sacrificed a lot for me...time, money and patience!

I am a bitch and everything in between, but still, with every passing day, 'A' manages to cope through the unexpecting-atif-pms-storm with full determination, love, and strenght with a smile on 'A''s face on every ending day ....beautiful indeed!

i guess thats just my way of expressing love...torture=love..hmmmm

Just yesterday, 'A' surprised me with a bracelet that spells out my name!( although the guy who sold it spelled out my name as 'AFIT' instead of "ATIF' but 'A' managed to fix that problem infront of me)

Im just sooooooooo grateful on meeting someone so true with love and i wont take this for granted like what i used to do on my past lovers.

Everytime i learn something new about 'A', i fall deeper in love and all i can say now is i love you i love you i love you I LOVE YOU!!!!

Well well well guys...here's something on my personal life >

could it be? maybe ;)

Honestly, i wasnt even into this person 'A'. We met at a friend's birthday party back in July (but we hardly even talked, infact, i didnt even noticed 'A'), then we stumbled again through the internet and we started chatting.

And no i didnt play it cheap!

Rejection was my game but still, 'A' never gave up and kept on trying till i literally said F*** OFF!

And thats what 'A' did :P

But then about 2 weeks ago, we bumped into each other again, this time in a club and 'A' said hi and i said hi as well. Nothing more than that.

Then as i left the club, 'A' came chasing after me and asked for my number...which after all the effort, i decided what the heck.

And from that moment on, 'A' kept sms-ing me and even asked me out which i said yes to (a big relief to 'A'...attt lassssttt..hahaha )

and till now (the day i wrote this blog) we've been out on 4 dates and i must say that it was no mistake at all. Loving everything 'A' is doing for me and i feel sooo appreciated.

So thank you cupid for aiming that arrow my way.

ps: nothing official yet and im still in a 50/50 state.

Pisau Cukur Review

First of all this is just my opinion k ;)

So...Pisau Cukur..

hmmmmm

Honestly, i am not really a BIG Malay movie fan...i've only watched those that are recommended to me.

Pisau Cukur (gold diggers) is a story about these 2 money-minded friends who are on a hunt for the wealthy on a cruise ship. There, drama about love and crime took place and its up to one to find a husband and the other to solve the crime...hahhahah

So i must say, it was a twist i didnt expect..thought its all about love and all.

The movie's story line is simple and quick...meaning the viewers are not dragged on a long and boring or complicated scene here so there's not attention needed through out the whole movie.

The jokes told are OK.

some are new and funny, others are old and boring (not boring really but more like giving u a smile instead of a big LOL).

As for the script writing here, its not bad as well...simple, fun, exciting and predictable as well.

What about the casts??..Not bad either. Maya Karin and Fazura got the leading role and the handsome Aaron Aziz plays a detective. HAWWWTTT!!! ;P

All in all, Pisau Cukur is a movie meant for those who wants to sit back, chill and laugh after a long day at work.

Not much thinking required.

Recent meteor sighting a WAKE UP CALL!!!

If you guys havent been youtubing lately then you might not have seen the clip of the meteor sighting in South Africa on 21 Nov.

It was ALMOST like a scene from the movies minus the devastating doomsday effect.

And i've been thinking, imagine if the meteor would have caused the same effect as shown in the movies...massive tidal wave, world wide shockwave, or simply causing the earth to just explode! Were we ready??

It was 7 days ago (from the day this blog was written) and we could all be facing judgement day right now. Can we accept our fate in the afterlife?

Anyway, back to the meteor story,thankfully no damage has been done and the meteor has still not been recovered till today. The SA government has ordered whoever who has found it to return it to the police as they claim that the rock 'belongs' to the government EVEN if it landed on someone's backyard!

Barry's 'gemilang' party!

My Karaoke buddy Barry or 'barrel barry' (a name to irritate him) turned 29 with a fantastic 'room party'!

Held at Crown Regency in KL, Barry kicked off the party at around 9pm with a liquor extravaganza! It was a night meant to get trashed....lol

We (my cousin, brother and i) arrived at roughly around 9:30pm from WIP Bangsar and the first thing i saw was people getting tipsy.

The setting was just brilliant. Disco balls, colourfull disco lights, flashing 'paparazzi lights' and loud music...all in a hotel room. what more can u ask?

By 11pm the room was packed with Barry's drunk friends getting it down on the 'dancefloor' while DJ Karan played his well list of remixes. Then mr Nadjmi just had to spill water on his lappy and from there, things got crappy..hahahhaha but we were still having fun anyways.

Then, the big surprise came knocking on the door roughly at around 1pm!

hahahaha....we chatted a bit and she sang her powerful rendition of 'happy birthday' and me and her got to sing 'Halo' together (which we didnt finish it up cuz we sang the wrong note).

Also present was our old friend Riz who made it big in AF [akademi fantasia].

Ok....what do u think about Britney's 3 video?

well here's my opinion:

There's no denying that for a mother of 2 and after all the drama, Ms Spears is HOt HOT HOT!!!! But thats ALL there is in the video!

I mean there is nothing else to watch in the vid other then her body (which probly was her target).

Everything was in black and white, there wasn't much dance moves and the rest was spontaneous and boring.

What they could have done was to atleast add in more colours and lights to make it LESS dull.

And the song clearly is about a threesome so they could have stick it to being 3. There were more then 3 dancers in a scene which to me, was irrelevant to the song at all.

But none the less Britney was clearly showing off her hot bod and sexiness was all what the video is about (which is a good thing).

But still, a lot more could have been done to make it fun, sexy and interesting....

But no matter how dull it was, it's still soooo much better than the pointless "Radar" video..LOL

Public transport- the inconvenient truth

No i haven't gotten my license YET so the one way for me to get around KL is by public transport.

and let me just say this...IT"S BULLCRAP!

I thought public transports are suppose to be a convenient to the public, but we (all those public transport dwellers) were proven other wise....

Let me start of with TIMING.

Oh-my-gawwdddd...........

Yes us Malaysian's are known for having a different time zone for each person but for the bloody busses to sometimes be up to an hour late??? it's ridiculous!!!

There are more than 3 busses for every route and the city aint that big either...im talking about Kuala Lumpur here, you can drive from one end of the city to the other within 40 minuets.

Sometimes i just wonder what the drivers are doing during their breaks?...having an orgy most likely.

But ok thats fine, traffic could be the cause (yeeeaaaahhhh riteeeee),

but how about the bloody train????...KTM. Now THIS is frustrating. For heaven sake, it's a train that goes around the city (talking about the Shah Alam route).

Imagine waiting at the depressing station for more than an hour......bring your own rope people! u may want to hang yourselves.

Then comes the RUDE DRIVERS.

Im talking about everything from the way they speak to the way they freaking drive!

And yes i really mean freakinglishly-driving. Going on a bus or a taxi here in Malaysia is like a rollercoaster ride at Disneyland! (and who says we dont have one!)

Seriously, It's like all taxi drivers were trained to drive wrecklessly for them to have a license.

This one goes for busses as well....we do live in a dangerous city..hmhmhm

CLEANLINESS is an issue i dont even have to talk about..we all know the problem here

If there's one thing im looking forward to watching on youtube, it's most deffinately videos from 'Communitychannel'!!!

'Communtychannel' is a series of video blogs by Natalie Tran mostly about....everyday life.
I know there's been hundreds of these blogs on youtube and most of them are just over-the-top people who makes no sense or just boring down right people who tries to be over-the-top, but Natalie however keeps it cool, funny and [most importantly] REAL!

She talks about everyday events in life by acting out roles in which most of the times, she plays herself and herself as someone else.

She has hundreds of videos and every one of them has reached more than 20,000 views minimum.
Natalie is also a doll to watch because she loves to interact with her viewers/fans by asking questions and having challenges all in which they will interact back by posting a video response. And at the end of every one of her videos, there's an ending credit of funny comments in which she herself picks, called 'porno music-/-comment time'..LOL
This segment is somewhat a honor lottery competitions as her fans/viewers actually tries to put in funny or pointless comments on her vids just to make it in...some even begs!

Bangsar the junkyard

I remembered about more than 5 years ago that the name 'Bangsar' represents a place for the cool, hip and happening crowd.
It was THE place for people to club, dine, hook-up or to just lepak and even held parades!!
Everything about Bangsar back then was just 'prestige' and 'glamorous' (well more or less).
yes yes yes...it was once the Bukit Changkat of KL.

Now however it has taken the turn for the low...
Slowly by the years i've noticed[ not only me, im sure] that this once happening place is turning into a dead town of boredom!

seriously!
You hardly even hear people say "im going to bangsar to get wasted" or " hey, lets go pub crawling at Bangsar!" anymore.
Now all you get to hear is "im gonna do my hair in Bangsar" or "i gotta go to the money changer in Bangsar" or even " Whats there to do at Bangsar??"...
Its official that Bangsar is now the junkyard of KL and it's soon to be a place for stop overs. Its just DULL..zzz

Ok...so whatever happened to Bangsar??
Well im not being racist here but these are the excuses that everyone [and by everyone i mean a LARGE number of people..LARGE] has been telling me > More and more drunk indians are taking over the place. Drunk+indians=violence

Yeap..its sortta true i think.
Since more and more indian-crowd-puller clubs opened around the area {MIST was the most recent and largest} , Bangsar has become a very unsafe place to hang around no more. More and more criminal activities are being reported there by the months.
everything from being robbed to 'ragut' to even murders!

Its really sad to think that this once golden town is now losing its sparkle and values.

I basicly grew up in Bangsar and to see it change for the worst is sortta hurtful.

But fingers crossed in the hope that what goes down, sometimes goes up as well <3

MOVING ON I AM!!!....but to who???

So yes, i did had a very emotional breakdown for the past 6 months and few weeks back i finally met my heartbreaker again at a club (dont ask) and i realized...
i dont love you anymore!

Then it hit me! I am finally able to move on!!
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!

But little did i know that moving on weren't as easy as it used to be.
Every week i go clubbing in search of THE ONE but every week i ended up going home with nothing more than my shadow.

and finally i gotten fed-up of it.
im giving up clubbing in hopes of getting lucky (i dont mean sex here aites).
i understand now how someone can actually grow bored and tired of something at what i thought (at the time) was endless fun.

So here i am writting this down just to let ya'll know that im still single and available for no certain reason...and no..im not promoting myself *wink

I miss the feeling of being IN LOVE (being loved back).
i mean without your 'other half', your just as lonely as u can get even with all the people in the world!

Bitter heart, bitter heart..

Oh well...guess i'll just wait and wait and wait till the time comes :/

Life is full of mystery and meanings...Religion and sins

I just got back from a long karaoke session at Imbi with my friends and then we headed for dinner and had a lepaking session at some padang at Tmn Tun and there, i heard the most beautiful and meaningful discussion of life and religion from a FREINDS POINT OF VIEW (note that).

At first we were just recalling the times that we had in the past and then we moved on to astronomy, horoscopes and how the moon landing is a hoax but other life forms exists out there...slowly religion and life came into the topic.

My friend, Aaron,a Christian who have a basic understanding of Islam (he reads both the bible and the Koran) belives that both Christianity and Islam are very similiar and beautiful , then he talks about how people nowadays have a very hypocrisis way of thinking (something i have long agreed on). Its true that what you do on earth in the end is between you and God. No one but God himself has the right to pick your fate in the afterlife. "everything you do is a sin" is what Aaron told us. Which is true! Sins comes from a long range of wrong doings be it small or big but the common view of what the present day community is seeing today is that sin..is being gay (full stop).

What ever happened to the simple sins of backstabbing, gossiping, lying, cursing, and just hurting other people's feeling?..have they been erased in the holy books? or is it no longer a wrongful doing just because this is what straight and religious people do as well?
It seems like the rules of deeds and sins have changed on a very biased platform.
its simple..your gay, you'll go to hell. Your straight, you'll go to heaven.
Sure it is written in both the Koran and bible that being gay is a sin but that doesn't mean all gay people are guaranteed a place in hell!
If a prostitute who has never once prayed was given a place in heaven just becuz she sacrificed a bowl of water to a dog (a story told in both holy books as well), then who are we to point out one's fate in the next life?? I agree with him when he said that the biggest sin (in his point of view) is to intentionally hurt someone else's feelings.
These are just the few things we talked about religion...God is great and everthing that happens, happened for a reason..some we know, others are kept hidden from our knowledge as part of life's mystery.

Then soon its time for us to head home and on the way, Lina taught me that life travels on with God's guidance and teachings. Lately i've been living everyday of my life with the thought that things happens blindly and life is just a story that you yourself create without the help from 'the big man' up there. Dont get me wrong,i belive in God but i've never really acknowledged his presents till now. God speaks to us everyday, giving us the signs on which path to take, but its up to us to listen to Him or just ignore Him completely and do things blindly. A miracle isn't about having supernatural powers or seeing writings in the clouds..a miracle happens everyday in different ways. Sometimes a miracle happens so often that it is easy for us to say "its coincidence". sad.....

Life is beautiful and it revolves around one's self and God. And with the lessons i've learned from my good friends in just one day, i promised to remind myself that everything happens for a reason and God is great...

FUN FUN FUN!!!!...

Anastacia, Chaka Khan and Lulu has joined forces together for an upcoming concert tour in Europe. The three will be kicking off the show sometime around this month and will be ending it end of next month.

Now, there's only one thing i can only expect from these girls which is loud fun. Too bad however that they aint coming around here in Asia but lets just cross our fingers that they would consider it ;)

But for the meanwhile, we only have to wait till it actually starts off to know what its really gonna be like. More updates on this soon.

Ben's Brother is stalemate no more with Anastacia

For all these years there have existed a band from England called Ben's Brother. But no one has actually acknowledged their present till....NOW!

Thanks to pop superstar Anastacia, Bens's Brother is finally coming into the spotlight with their new single~ 'Stalemate'.

'Stalemate' is a song originally written for a duet with another star, Joss Stone. However, due to certain circumstances, Joss' recording label had denied the song to be release as her single (although the song is still in her album). Anastacia came to the rescue by lending out her fiesty vocals as a favoure to both Joss and Ben's Brother.

I've listened to both versions and i must say that the two are actually very different when it comes to feel and emotion...
Anastacia's version is hard-edge and somewhat rock-ish that gives the listener's a strong point to the song while Joss' version is more settle and emotionally saddened which gives the listeners a more i-wanna-cry feel to it. Its all in the vocals!

Either way, this song has potential to be a hit in radio stations and its the kind of exposure that both Anastacia and Ben's brother need.

as my final say, 'Stalemate' is one of my fav tunes im listening to at the moment :)

the HALO is ALREADY GONE?

Have you ever heard either Beyonce's 'Halo' or Kelly Clarkson's "Already gone' and wondered if they sounded alike?...

Well in this case, the beat of both songs are so alike that Kelly Clarkson actually refuses to release her (now a hit) song after listening to Halo!

That however was not entirely up to her and before she could do anything more, the recording company already released it.
