The one that scenes out of me chasing from one lover after another. Only difference is, this time i wake up with something real next to me. So blessed that be.

Meanwhile, its been gloomy the whole 1st day of January 2018. Now in the evening as I write this down, light rain sets upon the city and nothing is better than to laze on my couch, (finally) watching Jane The Virgin, and stuffing my face with garlic bread, bananas, and cereal... don't judge.

That bliss died out quickly though as the first advise i recieved this year is... "You have to diet".
Ouch?? Yeahhhhhh. But truth? Yes too. Oh well.
So i guess it's time to step up to the game and lose some pounds. Plus, looking at my photo is a wake-up call on it's own.

Meanwhile, I wish you the very best this year and hope you're having a beautiful new year too.
From nothingness, to finally releasing my first single and be given the opportunity to pursue what I really love... MUSIC!

Of course at times I get frustrated when I feel like my journey just halted and I'm lost in stalemate. But then i remembered again of how it FEELS like time is flying but in reality, this ride is just taking off.

I literally joined the music industry in the early stage of 2017...yes, this year itself! With the release of Pulau Hijau on March, I've had my share of thrills and scares. It was fun and im hoping there's more to come!
How can I ask for more when Im still the underdog (or fresh meat) of the Malaysian music industry?
After all, as unpopular I am in the music scene still...who'd knew I'd have my song playing onboard 2 major airlines in the country? Right?

But thinking back of all I've managed to still do without the backing or sponsors of major music labels, I think I'm... goooooood 😎

Thank you for all the blessings bestowed upon me in 2017 and to all my friends, family, ummm...fans (?), I thank you for all the love shown towards me and I hope you will continue to shower me with support 😘
No problem!
What do you when you're a struggling independent artist with no extra ka-chings in the bank to get your music video done?

You get creative, find the cheapest materials and ask your friends to help out.
That's exactly what I've done and im grateful i have friends whom are willing to jump in the bandwagon.

Just to get you up to date, i have released my first single titled Pulau Hijau. A song i wrote inspired by the beauty of Bali and all it's hidden glory. Digitally published under Sony Music Malaysia, i needed a music video to complete the check-list.

With just RM50, my friends and i have managed to do a one-shot music video. I bought a plain white cloth, coloured rocks and whatever else i can find at home. The video itself too was recorded just with my Samsung Note 5!
That's it...
So if you have the time, do check it out!

Ready for a night out? Wanna get that beat going to warm yourself up in the car or at home as you get dressed for the weekend?

Listen to this! https://youtu.be/WgHhdtf7XS8

GIVE ME is the first single from Malaysia's new upcoming jazz-pop princess, USHERA!
Released about 2 months ago, Give Me is definitely a breath of fresh air to the Malaysian music industry. Infused with a mix of pop, jazz and dance influences, GIVE ME is definitely unlike any other (100%) Malaysian-made dance track.
This upbeat song tells her own failed love story on overcoming heartbreak and moving on.
The song starts off with a classic scenario about meeting someone in a cafe and falling in love but then, took the unexpected turn of being left out in the dark yet ended up with a mighty force of self-motivation and (dare I say) GIRL POWER!

Ushera has been in the underground local music scene for close to 6 years now, performing in music lounges, clubs and a high demand for private events. I speak for thousands when I say that she indeed makes herself noticed whenever she hits the stage.
Recently nominated for NEWMAN'S Creative Pioneer Awards (music catagory), we are promised for more surprises from this goddess of music in the months to come and her debut single 'Give Me' shouts out that statement loud and clear!

Don't believe me? Check it out yourself...
GIVE ME is now available on iTunes, Google music and the official music video has been released on VEVO and YouTube.

It's all missionary fun and games in public sex acts, that is of course until you get busted. Unfortunately that's what happened to a couple doing it in their balcony, in broad daylight, in Bnagsar South, KL. Little did they know that someone else was enjoying the view at the time...with a camera in hand.

During the long mating ritual, the cameraman was enjoying being a filmmaker himself, recording the entire session and next he has a 30 minute voyeur porn video. Now, thing has gotten out of hand and the video went viral. And so begin another unnecessary national scandal. Well, hardly, but you get the point. Now not only are the unidentified couple in trouble, but so is the witness himself!

Authorities are now questioning the couple and the cameraman on unintentionally distributing the graphic acts online. Looks like thing are going south in Bangsar South.
As usual, the national debating team (all Malaysian) are unease by the action taken by the police.

Was it wrong for the two lovebirds to hump like bunnies in their own balcony space?
Is it considered public sex even if they were in their own premises?
Should the man recording it be in questioning by the police, although he himself made a report?
Yes, yes and yes.

Let's be realistically fair.
The bunny couple should've known, or at least have the decency to cover themself up and have respect for their neighbouring residents EVEN if they were in a different building altogether.
Imagine explaining to kids should they asked "mommy, why is that man hitting the lady with his pee pee?". It is in broad daylight after all.
So they loved the idea of being caught...and caught they were.
Now, what about the authorities questioning the cameraman? Should he be in trouble too?
Simple, he wouldn't have if he didn't posted it up for the rest of the public to view it. I mean really. It doesn't matter if the couple were risking it and we're technically asking to get caught, it wasn't his call on sharing the indecent act to the nation.

I guess everyone got a piece of pie on their faces now.

¤ What you are about to read is a controversial topic. If you are easily offended, please move on to a different blog post. Thank you. ¤

The execution of the 8 Bali nine drug smugglers recently has caused uproars and protests especially in Australia. Some even suggested on boycotting Bali altogether. My Facebook wall was overflowing with debates on the execution. Some claim it's a tragedy, a rather hush punishment, that these men died as fallen heroes while others, claim otherwise.

What you're about to read next is totally based on my personal opinion. I represent no one else but me.

In most south east asian countries, drug dealing as, well as drug smuggling, is considered a national offence. In Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and as well as Singapore, to be caught with large amount of dangerous drugs will land you a one way trip to the gallows.
This practice has been approved by the government law for many years.
As a tourist arriving by air, one of the first announcement that is being made in the plane after landing is the mandatory announcement regarding the country's law on trafficking dangerous drugs and that it carries a mandatory death sentenced, if found guilty. Arrving at the airport, warning signs welcomes visitors multiple times before they step out of the terminal. The same with all the rest of the mentioned countries.
People are constantly being reminded of the severity on punishments relating drugs. It's almost like an annoying mosquitoe that buzz into your ear before disappearing, only to return later on.

So a fair amount of warnings were being given out to the public. Ignore these warnings, then face the consequences.
It's simple...if you don't want to be sentenced to death, just DONT DO IT.
The Bali nine men were no exception. In fact, for dozens of years, many others whom were found guilty of such crime has been shot, hung or electrocuted. It is the law. Period.

Were these men heroes or criminals? That is the question. And not a very difficult one either. -again, all I'm writing now is all based on personal opinion. You are free to say I'm wrong and you think otherwise. It's entirely up to you-.
So my verdict on the men...they dies as criminals.
At which point did someone says they were brave heroes?
The world is protesting over the execution of drug dealers. There are many other more worthy causes we can spend the same amount of energy in. Yet, hundreads mourns the death of these men. I'm not saying we musnt mourn for them. Mourning is healthy. Bit to rebel and protest over it is senseless. No denying at the end of the day, smugglers or not, they're still a person with families and friends and a life of their own. But to debate on this matter?? Not even worth it. Besides, at what point were they considered brave? They had no choice. Unless of course you're reflecting their bravery on smuggling in heroin into Bali, well yes. Brave but stupid.

These men were aware of the state they were in even before they got caught. How could they not?
To be involved in the drug ring is a serious manner. Many things needed to be done to prepare one before carrying out their 'tasks'. Precautions were to be taken. Plans needed to be precise and sneakyw enough for them to go under the radar unnoticed. It takes a brains and courage. So yes, I have to make a bold statement here and say that the men weren't stupid. Risks were to be taken, yet unfortunately for them, they lost.

In any country, the government is full of flaws. Corruption too. So before you bring up any other unrelated cases to prove that injustice were served, keep in mind this blog post is only about the Bali nine executions.

Was the execution fair though? Perhaps yes, perhaps not. I believe in second chances. That everyone is entitled to one. But when an offense of this scale being done and you are aware of the charges, then well one should be prepared to face the penalty if found guilty.
Rules are rules, and they apply anywhere in the world. The Bali nine gang, however, choose a place that doesn't tolerate kindly with such heist. That is not the government's problem then. The men played with fire, they got burn.

However, condolences and prayers should be sent out to the families and friends of the men. It's them that suffers most and it's unfair.

So readers from all over the world, JUST STAY AWAY FROM DRUGS. It's that easy.

I find myself yet again wondering the streets of Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur not sure of what my motives are. I had, initially, in mind to just enjoy a cup of coffee at Starbucks but to my dismay, there weren't any singles insight for me to not feel like an outcast.

Which now leads me to wonder...is there a place in town that's meant for single lonely people like me? A place where it's not socially awkward for me to just take a sit alone...either at the bar, or a table.
A place where other single lonely people could gather and feel less lonely? Not a club or a pub! A daytime place. Cafes, restaurants, bistros, coffee shops. Places like these.

For my foreign readers from different parts of the world, places like these might already exist. But here in Malaysia, it doesn't. Or at least maybe I just haven't found one yet.
Here in my homeland, a table will automatically come with a set of chairs. Its meant for a group of more than, well, one. If you're by yourself, it's safe to assume you'd be grabbing some food TO GO. It's a social preference.
I guess they're aren't many Malaysians like me. You know...the kind that wonders aimlessly to find a cozy spot for me to enjoy whatever my order is, just so I can sit and silently play matchmate with myself. Pathetic much? It gets better. I would literally cafe-hop just so I could try out my 'market'. Scouting every Starbucks, mamaks, bistros, just so I'd have a change of view (and people).

Desperate is an understatement. Oh no...I'm beyond that. And I have no shame admitting to it. I guess because its pretty much isn't a secret after all. Trust me, someone (I hardly) know told me that right in my face. But don't worry, we're friends now. Besides, he pretty much was JUST being honest.
So yeah, I'm here trying to fit into the crowd but only to be rejected by not being seen or noticed at all. Ok, so "at all" is an exaggeration. They see me, some might even turn their heads in an all obvious manner to look at me. But all I can think about is them asking themselves "what's with the lonely bastard? He aint got no friends with him...he's got to be a bastard!". Pardon my language.
Perhaos, only perhaps, I'm just being judgmental to myself though. What if, if they really...don't give a craps??
Could it be that we make ourselves feel unaccepted to the public for being alone? Why do we do it? Do I have to keep asking these questions knowing no one will answer me?
Well it's not just for me though. It's for everyone else..like me.

I often think to myself, what if...WHAT IF...my future soulmate is doing the exact same thing? That one day we'll exchange glances on our one-seater table, and knew we were meant to meet. This time, as I write that down, I feel the energetic cheers orf many millions single boys and girls, man and women. Yeah right! I'll probably end up with one or two readers on this post. Just self humour. Haha.
But seriously though, what if....
It's not even a crazy thought. It's a very possible assumption. Of course, there are many other ways we could meet.
Maybe even one of my readers? *did I not say I'm desperate?*

Much thought has been given into love. In fact, it drains the soul out of me. I told myself once, twice, a gazillion times that love doesn't always play a crucial role in life! It's important. Would be nice to be in love, but it's just not much of a priority to be happy. You see, being happy is very subjective. Whomever says money can't buy you happiness, would totally be someone like me. Someone so into the idea of falling in love, that they (we) would go out of our way to make ourselves noticed by that stupid flying pest we call...cupid.
Unfortunately cupid sees us and yet figured out to whom to point that arrow to next. Stupid cupid.

It worries me. When I'm being told by someone else that they've been living the single's life for years, some even up to 14 years. Here I am...8. 8 freaking MONTHS and I'm already raising the white flag.
Sure I'm coming to terms with myself not introducing myself as someone else's partner, but still, it would be nice to do so.

These are the times I wish I could call in psychic Tia and asks her about my future. This way, I won't need to even waste my time and money on beverages I'm not even thirsty enough to finish it up.

Ouh well...cest la vie

AZ

GST. What is GST? Malaysian Goods & Service Tax.
Questions after questions, yet I have not settled upon a concrete feedback on it's factual purpose.
But I'm not going to discuss on taxes. Not on this post. It's about the two infamous Dewi Remaja finalists who has deliberately turned themselves into accidental "bimbo"(s).

Dewi Remaja is some sort of a local 'beauty pageant" for teenagers, or at least that's what I understand about word 'remaja', and just like any other pageant, an IQ test will take place along the competition, and just like any other pageant, a few contestants will -eventually- end up giving unrelatable answers. And two of these finalists did so by failing to explain (therefore revealing their lack of understanding) the three letter killer...GST.

Not long after the interview was released, Malaysian Facebook wall posts burst with videos of the two finalists and critiques came pouring in from left, right and centre. The two girls were (and still is) being called stupid, embarrassing, 'blonds', dumb...you name it! All of a sudden, the entire nation takes it personally. It's an offense to not know what GST is! Because apparently, everyone else understands it completely. Or so we make it look like it. I use the term 'we' only so you won't say that I'm excluding myself as saint against this issue.
The interviewer played it 'tough'. Asking direct questions without even a smile and will occasionally snap if the finalists answers a question with an answer. I get it...It's part of the contest. A test to see how these finalists handles a difficult situation incase of a public backlash. But nonetheless, the interviewer from Hlive was being unprofessionally rude rather than being stern or 'hardcore' BUT professional. But perhaps it's all for the benefit of viewing pleasure I suppose.

But here's the issue...for entertainment or not, the two girls are now being pressured by the ongoing cyber bullying.
Ok, need I be frank and say they did sound ridiculous and immature in represent themselves during the interview, but nonetheless I think the public backlash is just a little bit too hypocritical and overpowering.
So they failed to come up with an explanation of what GST really is, and what GST really stands for, but are we really surprised? What's the big deal? Oh so you think it's just irresponsible for them to not even be bothered of the Malaysian political scene?
And now it's national news.
Oh please, these girls aren't running for president. As a matter of fact, I didn't even thought much about them. It's a useless competition to begin with!

So I asked myself, why is everyone paying attention to something that was practically non-existent just a few days back?
Simple. It just gives us something to talk about. There's a room criticism, we fill it in!
I would like to blindly say that it's a Malaysian thing, but i dont really feel like soaking myself in hot water at the moment (not that i haven't), but Im pretty sure someone out there would love to object my statement and prove themself right.
It's ok. It's a free country.
Yet little do we realize it, that when we commit the guilty act of bullying -by mouth, force, or even just by typing- we fall less than perfect from where they are.

But oh well....That's Life 😉

Are we in love? Or do we just devour ourselves in LUST, to the point we can't tell one apart?
There's been many, and I mean many occasions when I've convinced myself that I am in love with another person just because they (and I remind you...many occasions) are the vision -physically- of a beautiful couple portrait.
So one day, I asked myself, do I love them? Or am I in love with that fantasy picture I drew in my own foolish mind?
And the reply I had FOR MYSELF indeed put me to place. A realistic one. I was never in love with them, I was just in love with myself. 'Myself' in a way I envisioned it to be...with them. More like a mirror of false hope, reflecting nothing more than pure fantasy.

It's funny, because they say to talk to ourselves is the first sign of madness. If it's anything I can prove, it indeed gave me the peace I needed with myself. But just out of curiosity, what is being...sane?
People call me crazy numerous times. Friends, families, acquaintances, beck..even strangers. But in my defense, I have YET met someone who is "sane".
Perhaps being "less crazy" is just a way mad people use to describe themselves when they've run out of steam for their own passion and energy in...(wait for it)...LIFE. To live.

Ok, I'm running far off the topic here. Back to the golden question, is it love? Or lust?
Ask yourself this the next time you 'think' you feel butterflies in your tummy. Is she/he really the person you want to wake up to every morning? To care for when they're at their weakest?
If they reveal a darker side of themself, would you be able to compromise?
That, my dear readers, is a trick question.
Someone recently showed me a clip of the late Ertha Kit explaining her point of view for what love is about. When the interviewer asked her of she would be willing to compromise with her partner, she laughed. Loudly. Saying "what is there to compromise?? A relationship needs to be earned!"
A wise lady she was. Couldn't have said it better myself.
We should stop expecting (period). Let's start enjoying the company of the other person with us. Let our feelings grow...naturally...slowly. And perhaps then, will we understand what love is about.

And remember, if you ever find yourself on a an uncertain path of love vs lust, just take your time and read your map carefully.

After all... That's Life 😉

Bil Musa
Before you dismiss this post as a campaign run, allow me to quickly point out you're wrong. Dont judge a blog by it's tittle.

Introducing...Bil Musa!
Who?
Let's move out from under the rock and start breathing some fresh air, yo!
Bil Musa (birthname Nabila Musa) is a blooming flower in the Malaysian music scene.
Signed under Yuna Room Records, Bil Musa is flourishing the local indie scene with her recently launched self-tittled EP on the 5th of April at The Bee, Publika.
Consists of 6 tracks, Bil Musa delivers the sort of sound you'd like to listen to on a Saturday morning to kick off a cheery weekend.

Not running far off from the sound of 'the boss' Yuna, Bil Musa is somewhat an extension to the sort of a sit-back-and-relax musical vibe.
In the EP, there are 2 Malay tracks (both of which I just adore) and 4 other English tracks. Well.. one of her songs, The Beach, has been split to two different versions. One sung in both Malay and English (per track) and the bonus version includes a pinch of French+English+malay. Sassy.

I first came across Bil's 'The Beach' through Facebook and I immediately fell in love with its quirky lyrics. Most of the words played into the lyrics of Bil Musa's songs are simple and straight to the point. There's no beating around the bush with this one...and perhaps, that's why I find it rather 'easy' to listen to.

Like a snap of the fingers I knew that whom I was listening to is taking a step to a milestone. As a matter of fact, I myself has tweeted her (@BilMusa) and state my trust in her potential saying "you will go far". And like the humble person she is, a reply came in thanking me. So I hope she will forever stay grounded as she shoots for the stars. All the best Bil Musa!

But it's come to my attention that some branches of popular franchises abuse their products in quantity.

A few weeks back I ordered an iced blended green tea latte at 'Coffea Coffee' in Bangsar. I was taken aback in displeased once my order came as it was served in a tiny plastic cup instead of its usual tall glass serving.
Ok...So 'tiny' is a strong word to describe it's size, nonetheless, it's 'tiny' as compared to the RM 12++ I still had to pay for.

Let's be real, we know drinks these days cost an arm and yet, we still give in to our temptations just for that deserving cup of coffee (or tea, yogurt drink...you name it) just to please our taste buds for the day. And yes, though we still trim down our wallet size, at the end of the day, all we want is a decent cup/glass of our ordered drinks.

All we ask if that they would at least have a sense of respect for us if not for their own reputation.

Another franchise that does the same (that I have personally experienced) would be 'Tous Les Jours'.
Now this one.....hmmm
Not only did they serve my mango yogurt drink in a plastic cup half the size of the glass but when my usual chicken ceaser salad were served to me, I've noticed there were no bacon in it. Now don't judge me by saying that I'm being difficult or too particular with my orders, no no... The ingredients used in making that perfect salad I've had in mind, is listed down on the menu itself! Please...check it out for yourself.
So typically, I would evaluate my final decision in ordering based on what's in the ingredient list. And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.

So yes, sue me for being rather disappointed on realizing I was not served what I was 'promised'.

Do we have to keep playing victim to these simple, yet offensive, budget-cutting tricks by these outlets? I mean, if its ok to do, only if the prices too would be slashed in half. Ain't that right?

First and foremost, happy 2015!
Hope it's been a good start for all of you. As for me, it's only February and already things has been rather bumpy. But hey, there's a silver lining for everything right? Hopefully.

I've had a lot of time in my hands lately and I finally made it to good use.

Just over two weeks ago, whilst I was bored out of my (already) insane mind, I've decided to pick the guitar up and start plucking whatever I can pluck just to see if I could actually make my own song. Once I got the melody going, here comes the pen and paper, yada yada yada...TADAAA! My first ever song is DONE. Posted it up on YouTube and shared it on my Facebook page what to my pleasant surprise, people loved it. Loved it so much that its in actual production! That's right....my first song I've ever written will soon be in the airwaves. So excite!

It's a Malay song, about how I feel like I've lost everything when I lost that onep person (no one in particular!), and it's called 'Hilang Segalanya'.

Recording has been completed now all there is to do is the audio mixing and mastering. Once that's checked, I'll definitely share it here on That's Life aites! Tak sabar siot...... 😁

Peace out!

It's a time for all Anastacia fans to rejoice and celebrate for the queen of sprock (Soul+Pop+Rock) is BACK!...and BETTER!
'Stupid Little Things', her first single from her soon to be released album, 'Resurrection', has finally been revealed on the European airwaves and to much positive reviews.

I strongly believe this track will soon be an international hit just like her other past success like 'Left Outside Alone', 'Im Outta Love' and 'Paid My Dues'.
It's strong, confident and catchy. A recipe for success! This makes us impatient to take a listen to the whole album. JOY!

'Stupid Little Things' tells us a story of insecurity and fretting out love to someone over small matters that we shouldn't even be worrying or troubled about. Again, Queen Ana always comes out with a song relevant to us ALL at some point in our life. And i guess that's what makes me love her from the start.

I wont say much and i'll let ya'll take a listen for yourselves. I aint lying when im saying THIS SONG ROCKS!
LONG LIVE ANASTACIA! <3

'I am a man with a tittle. Honour is within me for I come from the purest of soil. The blood in me is as white as my soul, I shit out diamonds, the words I speak dwells from the almighty's mouth and my wish is your command. I am invincible and no wrong can harm. When i do die, my body turns into gold dust. I AM GREAT! ' - Malaysian mentality when little power is given to them.

But to just say (Malaysian) isn't entirely fair either. Perhaps it's an individual issue and not everybody behave as such. MAJORITY-wise on the other hand....hmmmm.

My question here is, WHY CAN'T WE BE NICE?
Is it such an offence to simply treat another person with respect just because they don't owe them your life? And even if it's so, what is so important in the face of society for you to let ego overpower your mind and body?
Seems like everybody is competing with one another to see who the bigger douch is. That said in my own words of course.

Yes, occasional we may fall off the wagon and brush our dark side to one's face INTENTIONALLY, but it shouldn't continue on till it manifest itself into the person we are!
Must it take one tragic event to befall upon us just to bring our heads down to earth? And when it does, will people around us land a helping hand?

This issue seemed like a raising stake among our society nowadays. No no...don't get me wrong! Not everyone lose themselves in an ego frenzy. Some still manage to grip hold of reality on the person they were before. And it's these people whom makes me smile (or even cry at times) in public when random acts of goodness are kindly given by them.
'Society nowadays' does not only refers to those in the early age of adulthood or even teens.

Here's a a true story of what happened on my flight yesterday. (please note that for me to post such event publicly is a threat to my job, but yet i believe it is even more important to get the word across then to just fret and fuss unheard).
- So, as i was serving the pre-booked meals, at row 1, these malay group (in their senior age) started testing my patience. One of them claimed to be some sort of a 'Datuk' (although it mentioned nothing about so in his boarding pass), handed me a ticket of their previous flight in hopes that they get to fool me into giving them the desired meal they preferred. Unfortunately (for them), im alert as a guard dog and spotted the different flight number. Not only did they try manipulating me, they were also speaking to me in a way of saying 'i am a man with power'. I aint buying it. To irritate the situation even more, one of their friends, seated at row 2, was originally seated at row 23. In the airline i work with, row 1,2,3,4,5,12, and 14 are what we call the HOT SEAT. It's under the airline's policy that for you to be seated here, an extra Rm35 must be charged (during the purchasing of your ticket). So as he handed over his ticket of course me being the responsible flight attendant has to abide by the company's rules and regulations. My oh my how upset he got. "kau nak aku pindah sangat ke?? eh, aku cakap aku dah settle kan! Kawan aku duk sini! Macam mana leh cakap macam tu kat datuk?!". Translation; "You REALLY want me to move?? I've already settled this (with my leading crew)! My friends are all seated here (row 1)! How dare you speak to a 'Datuk' like this?! (the claimed-to-be-datuk at row 1).
My dear fellow people...This brings nothing but shame to your name. So this person who got overly upset at me claims to know someone of higher status and demand the VIP treatment from us. If THAT'S the case, dare i say i should be respected of all walks of life for im not only friends with a man with tittle, but i COME from a family respected in the Malay political society. I do not demand of such as i believe respect comes to one's self DESERVINGLY. You EARN respect, not BUY it.

So now today i've realised that these toxicated behaviours are getting more common day by day. Help is in need to restore faith in humanity.
goes an acapella 'beatboxing' by Zee Avi as the opening of this song... And well, throughout the whole track actually.

'Concrete Wall' is an original by Malaysian born, LA based singer, Zee Avi!
Telling the story of a turmoil relationship, 'Concrete Wall' is simplicity at its best. Accompanied by Zee's hypnotic voice, its a slow and soothing song that needed nothing more to make it an ear candy.

Concrete Wall is one of the tracks from Zee Avi's 'Ghostbird' album and, its an album i'd recommend you to grab in times you need to lay back at home or in your car to lower down your pulse rate and be in a state of musical calmness.
Cant believe i've waited this long to get Ghostbird myself. Outdated me ':D

To add in the awesome-factor to this track, it was also featured in one of the episodes of Gossip Girls! Malaysia bolehhhhh ~ Xx Az
It's been over a year since i last updated my blog! My oh my....

Anywhoooo,
I was both pleased and surprise to find that although That's Life was left abandoned by me since 2011, ive had more than 28,000 readers to date!
And as for that, this has been very motivating for me to continue blogging. I guess just knowing that what I post has been taken noticed by people from all over the world comforts me. (Then again, who wouldn't? ). But of course with positivity, comes negativity. The ying and yang of the universe. Only 30+ subscribers (boohooo). But who's to blame if not me myself for leaving my blog out in the dark for the past year, right?

I hope the year has been kind to everyone so far.
I promise to ya'll that I'll do my best to keep this bloggy of mine up to date.
After all, a bold little birdie told me I should continue writing *wink

A meteor, crashed to earth near the city of Chelyabinsk, Russia! Now, the reason i say "crash to earth" is to make myself clear that the meteor ACTUALLY had an impact to the ground below it. Most meteor showers results in nothingness as the meteor will usually burn itself into micro-size pieces BEFORE it hits the ground. Unfortunately in this case, the size of the recent meteor outlarge the size needed for it turn to space dust as it enters the earth's atmosphere!About 1000 people were reportedly hurt by the blast and shockwave the meteor produced as it crashes into a nearby lake! A 1000 people! That's not to be taken lightly! Several buildings were effected by the blast (broken windows and such). What worries me is the fact that, in these modern era where meteors and asteroids are 'supposedly' being closely monitored by Nasa and others space-related institutes, no warning whatsoever of such event was sent out! Like seriously?? Yes, this meteor poses no threat to the entire human race BUT....BUT....still, 1000 people (or even more if you count those who didnt lodge report to the authorities) found themselves injured by flying glasses among other objects as windows on buildings broke into pieces by the strong shockwave. In my previous post i have highlighted the increasing amount of sighted oversized falling space rocks and the potential danger it pose, and here it is now a headliner in the world news.THANKFULLY though, no deaths were caused by this unexpected event. But i suppose its 'accidents' like these that reminds us of the higher power in control of the complexity of mother nature and all that lies below...and above it.In the words of Ellie Goulding, ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN. At first i suspected that we were experiencing another light tremor (Tall buildings always initiate an evacuation whenever slight tremors were felt throughout the country). However, it wasnt till that night itself that i got the news of what actually happened!

Empire Shopping Gallery has been my weekly visit since i joined the gym there. Looking at the damages done by the explosion, i can't believe that i was there just a few days back and how no one saw what will happen to this popular shopping mall.

As of now, it has been reported that the blast was due to some gas leakage from the ground floor. It has been said that the explosion could be heard all the way up to Bangsar! Some 15 minutes away (driving distance).

Gas leakage? Seriously?....Is it THAT easy for a building to just blow up into pieces without signs whatsoever? We are once again reminded the danger of shopping malls.

The explosion happened at 3.45am (Thank God) and fortunately no one was killed in this event, however 4 people suffered minor injuries. Things would have been uglier if it was to happen during business hours!

Could this just be luck? or.....planned?
Now, im no detective nor am i involved in any CSI Organisation but i must say..it's suspicious enough to think that no one actually noticed these leaks and that it had to happen in such odd hours.

Well that's me btw. Adding some spice to my stories just to heat things up and give ya'll some time to ponder your head about.

Now, here i am at home on my weekend when what i had originally planned was to head down to this mall and work this junk in the trunk out! hmmmm -_-

Anyhow...here are some pix on the blast >

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ECN1CjeL1WM/ToVH1AMhnuI/AAAAAAAAAe4/pwgBJdUPEnY/s320/empire-subang-meletup4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5658007482772070114" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Nt8q8ja9GbE/ToVIEkIthoI/AAAAAAAAAfA/ZvyJ_DoI7B4/s320/empire%2Bmeletup.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5658007750117787266" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4dSirMyrCkE/ToVIL_FESaI/AAAAAAAAAfI/CFjdOxIi_a0/s320/empire%2Bmeletup%2B4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5658007877609343394" />

Ouh and PS; For those wondering what happened to those poor animals in the petstore on the Lower Ground floor, no worries..they were all rescued and well alive! How's it going???
Sorry for the major delay on updating my blog and on Youtube as well.
If you have any interest at all in my personal life then you'd know that the last time i updated myself to you was when I'm busy in training with AirAsia.

Well 2 months has passed since then and im proud to say i passed the academy with flying colours and here i am, busy as ever!

its been about close to 3 months now that i've been flying 'solo' as a flight attendant and i must say, i am all drained out. 5 times a week, up to 6 flights a day. Can you imagine?

I feel the aging effect on myself and i aint lovin it. No No No....
Gone are the days when im able to stay awake till 4am and be asleep till noon. Now the latest for me to stay energetically awake is till 10pm. Anything more than that and im using all my might to keep my eye lids from falling.
Yes that's right...R.I.P to my social life.

But of course with every hard work, comes a price.
And that price, is on me ;)
I got half a taste of my full income last month and that has kept and will keep me smiling on every 26th day of the month. Heheheeeee~
Its my first four-figured earning in my life and Im proud of it.
And yes, with every price, goes my time for friends, family, partying, daily exercise and all the other routines i used to do before 4 months ago.

So...WORK.
Ahhhh...Like everything else in this world ( i suppose ), time is needed to get the use of it. I'm still fitting myself hard to fit in the triangle box of my working hours. But that however is something all flight attendants in the world will have to deal with i suppose.
And surprise surprise, just half an hour into my standby hours, Im being called up for another flight later at 4 (as we, well I speak...or type o_O)
Another hour to waste so lets continue ~ Then comes the inflight services and standard of procedures. Complicated at first but im slowly getting the hand of it, Thank God, but Im still learning.
Ps; got my hand burnt from heating the food in the oven on board :( (and i was wearing gloves, mind you)

All in all work is fun IF, and ONLY IF, my set of crew are the fun ones as well.
People comes in different shapes and sizes including personality. However in the kind of work we are doing, It is utterly important for our leading to be humble, nice, patient and FUN for a smooth day at work. After all, THAT is the quality of personality AirAsia is looking for during the interviews~

Oh well...what else is there to say?
Work aside, when it comes to my social life, dinners and movies are all what i managed to do for now as all my days off are on the weekdays and let me remind you...im mentally falling asleep after 10pm. sNorT~

Oh and on my health-story , I have replaced my daily outdoor walk in the little 'jungle' of Gasing Hill (Bukit Gasing) and nightly jog with the indoor atmosphere of the gym. Fitness First @ Empire, Subang mostly. Gotta buff up this flabs ya'll...although i know its gonna take years and years and years -_-.

Also, I have a new member to the family! Can someone say "meoowwww"! hahahah
yes, i've adopted a stray cat i found at the ever delicious Humble Chef about 2 months back and its the most adorable-easy to train feline ever. Dumbell is his name. < Don't ask >
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AxRvsJZg3Zg/Te2Qzbb0xyI/AAAAAAAAAdg/2pr5s-nUwsw/s320/IMG-20110418-00275.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615303523613067042" />

Ok guys, GTG and get ready! 147 times and still counting...
Thats the amount of time i've glued my eyes on the screen watching The Nanny!

Yes, no other sitcom nowadays can ever compare to this brilliantly sketched piece of comedy art. PERIOD.

Created and executively produced by Fran Drescher (who is also the main character) and her then-husband Peter Marc Jacobson, The Nanny took much of its inspiration from Drescher's personal life, involving names and characteristics based on near relatives and friends. The show earned a Rose d'Or and one Emmy Award, out of a total of thirteen nominations, and Drescher was twice nominated for a Golden Globe as well as for an Emmy. Since the early 2000s the sitcom has also spawned several foreign adaptations, loosely inspired by the original scripts.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 285px; height: 292px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-68OfSfJ-Xko/TdNhpFfLaHI/AAAAAAAAAcY/tU98ETD4IE8/s320/the%2Bnanny%2Bpotrait" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607933319481878642" />

But in my opinion, no comedy sitcom will ever be as ORIGINAL as The Nanny was.
Though it's no longer aired on TV, i get my dose of nasal voiced nanny on the ever convenient, Youtube! ;)
Also a favourite of Malaysian Idol winner, Jaclyn Victor, among millions others out there, The Nanny is a 'Must-have' DVD collection!
It still moves me to tears watching the last episode of this gut tickling series. Why must all good things come to an end?? :(

My favourite character in the show would have to be the mother...Sylvia Fine!!! heheh

The Nanny...two word: EPIC WIN!

Bravo to the one and only actual American comedy....with quality.AZ Dreamerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14360476585351909983noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-825019058636402788.post-24485415519804631412011-04-10T23:30:00.001-07:002011-04-11T00:08:58.745-07:00It's BRITNEY bitch!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 143px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WJOr9Fh7-RU/TaKoN-wpk0I/AAAAAAAAAbo/02U_EdQeizQ/s320/brit" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594218645286392642" />

With Britney's failed 'advertisement music video' for Hold It Against Me, I was rather convinced that there won't be any reason for me to get excited on her next music video from that moment on.....little did I know Miss Britney would prove me wrong!

Browsing through Facebook, I found a Youtube link on Britney's new released video, 'Till The World Ends'.

At the beginning of the video, I thought this was gonna be one of those fake fan-made music videos that has other Britney look-alike in it. But, I was taken by surprise to know that it really is her and it's an original music video for that song!

Hot Hot Hotness!!!

Britney is seen dressed up in tights and stilettos that shows off her sexy curves.
The music video starts off like an Armageddon trailer with all the falling debris and meteors from the sky. A 2012 picture. But below all that chaos, a sexy party is being held underground with of course, Britney being the hostess of it all.

Looking back at this video, you would soon recognize that it looks like another 'Im a slave 4 you' spin-off. However, Im just relieved to see NO such promotional brands throughout it all! PHIEEWWWWW

But of course, when there's a plus point, there's the minus points.
The one thing that lacks in this video is.......yu, you guessed it! ~HER EPIC DANCE~
Nevertheless it has always been the problem since Kevin Federline came into the picture. Though i hope she doesnt gives up and start taking dancing seriously again.

Cause seriously, Britney....the one excuse we accept you for miming on stage is that you have some ass-kicking dance routine you always pull off on stage. Now that's history, there shouldn't be a problem on singing LIVE.

Kudos to the Director for NOT taking advantage of Britney like the rest, and for bringing sexy right back to her name ;)

Go Britney, Go Britney, Go Britney!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 299px; height: 169px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4Hd24KRpnzQ/TaKoV-evVcI/AAAAAAAAAbw/ljh0d9qSvw4/s320/britne" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594218782650226114" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 216px; height: 234px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tstPUYcA6es/TaKohI0lbdI/AAAAAAAAAb4/F53wUea9LmE/s320/britney" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594218974404767186" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 262px; height: 193px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LFVjSyXMSGg/TaKou-gZ62I/AAAAAAAAAcA/otOQTAt1xXQ/s320/images.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594219212153940834" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 282px; height: 179px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DA8j8cxg7ZQ/TaKo9trI3gI/AAAAAAAAAcI/R2uWDzm5iQ0/s320/index.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594219465333595650" />AZ Dreamerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14360476585351909983noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-825019058636402788.post-43058426912569487892011-03-25T18:58:00.000-07:002011-03-29T06:26:03.247-07:00Rebecca Black - FRIDAY. ~Misunderstood story~<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 211px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-KtGR07rS1NI/TY1Uf6fXK5I/AAAAAAAAAbg/GNgxc1q1t40/s320/Rachel_Black_Friday_March17news.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5588215619890129810" />

"It's Friday, Friday, Gotta get down on Friday,
Everybody's looking forward to the weekend..."

Introducing ONE of the most cheezy and cliche' song ever!
It almost seems like no effort was done whatsoever during the writing of the lyrics and Rebecca Black's voice proves that everyone out there has potential to become a singer.

BUT......I LOVE IT!

Yes yes...Im not ashamed to go all out and say that I am now, a Rebecca Black FAN! weett weett ;p
Before you jump the gun and shoot me, listen up to what i've got to say and think about it yourself.

I started out as one of Rebecca Black's haters. Poking fun at the song and posting nasty jokes at the 13yo Rebecca Black. But at the same time, in the dark, away from other's presence, I was in fact hitting the replay button on Youtube!
Then i realize it! *I AM ACTUALLY ENJOYING IT*

I mean come on, Yes the lyrics could have been a lot better and her voice can be somewhat like an annoying duck, but what else can be said about that most anticipated day ~ FRIDAY!?

I had like what seems like the most longest week ever and when Friday finally came, Rebecca was singing to me the whole day.

Ok, my point >
1. Its a simple song about a day called Friday.
" Yesterday was thursday, Today it is friday, we we we so excited, we so excited,
we gonna have a ball today, tomorrow is saturday and sunday comes afterwardssss.."
Now, HOW TRUE is this???
Do you guys get it now? The lyrics doesnt have to be so complicated and all, cause in the end, it's all about being excited that Friday is finally here and the day after would be the weekend! TADAAAA :D

Its about time someone comes up with something simple. Who says every song has to be perfectly written with bombastic words with original catchphrase and breath-taking story line?
I mean in reality, the only thing we are excited about on a Friday is that tomorrow, we don't have to work!
Its not always bout doing drugs, or making love, or about thousands of these insects called firefly lighting up the sky while you lay down dreaming about something...Its about a day called...*drum roles*...FRIDAY.

2. The voice. Yes yes, i cant argue here when i say she doesn't have the best voice ever and auto-tune is indeed a big help. However, TAKE NOTE she's only an AVERAGE 13YO GIRL! How many everage people out there? raise your hand! *raising hand*. Ok now you can drop back your hand down. You guys see my point yet?
It aint always about getting a singer with an angelic voice like JoJo and all, but let a normal 13yo express her joy on a Friday!
Whats the big deal? At least she reminds us that not everyone in the world can sing, and therefor she is sort of 'representing' us non-singers! hahahaha....but seriously.

Aside from these two points i have, it is NO DOUBT a very catchy song. And don't you be in denial about this.

We defend ourselves so much on being human...but which part of us is human when we say nasty stuff to a 13yo? Rebecca Black may not be perfect, but the only one in the world who is PERFECT, is not even visible. (You know WHO Im talking about).

We are real people with real voices and real feelings. (Full stop)

I have come to the end of my reasons on how and why I became, from a hater, to a fan.
And here's something i read somewhere on Twitter that makes A LOT of sense >
"To be honest, i don't see much different in CREATIVITY between 'Baby Baby Baby Oh...' and 'Its Friday Friday Gotta Get Down On Friday'"AZ Dreamerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14360476585351909983noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-825019058636402788.post-20829672256311325212011-03-03T06:32:00.000-08:002011-03-03T07:06:20.571-08:00Diary ; Catching up time ;)Heyyyy peeps!
Im so so so sorry on my 'disappearance'. But here's a catching up session (excuses as my defense) --->

No fancy shmancy story to update ya'll about, but on the other hand, I have joined the AirAsia Allstars family. Flight Attendant trainee Batch 117..the coolest batch on the academy! woohooo ;p

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8watZTSWZzY/TW-t106lsVI/AAAAAAAAAbY/SgHnNhe3Omw/s320/117.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5579869603584389458" />
(my batch-mate Suresh, remy and ME )

Its my 4th week of training now and we (i, representing my batch of course) have about another 3 more weeks to go.

Grooming-Service Excellence-Announcement-Aviation-Inflight-(and as now,)First Aid.
These are the subjects of training i've been through and i have a few more to go.

My dear readers, let me tell you one thing: NEVER UNDERESTIMATE flight attendants!
Only once you join in the training process will you appreciate and understand the airline industry and how difficult it is to be a flight attendant..or as the general public consider us to be, 'waiters and waitresses of the airplane'.

There is more to it then just serving meals and selling items on board. 'We' are in-charge and responsible first and far-most, the passenger's SAFETY.
To be able, or properly saying, QUALIFIED to be the 'on air LIFEGUARD', we must first go through an intense/tiring training of first aid and safety-security class.

As of the date this blog is written, I am now in my 3rd day of first aid training and let me tell you this...IT AINT EASY!

So yes, a few months back my bed time was when the sun rises but now my sleeping schedule has turned outside down and i now rise along with the morning sun.

SO my dear readers, please forgive me for keeping it hush hush lately for i have been pretty busy (getting prettier while being busy! heheheehehehhe) and i PROMISE you this > I will post up anything worth blogging about once i have the materials aites!

As for now, keep following me and have patience. I'll BE BACK.
xoxoAZ Dreamerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14360476585351909983noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-825019058636402788.post-49573566680278971762011-01-26T18:26:00.000-08:002011-01-26T19:11:50.913-08:00Inhuman Beings<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 198px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_xYQYt8sW8_w/TUDgwiZdQ1I/AAAAAAAAAbM/jyWyOO8P-hM/s320/poodle%2B4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5566696263901856594" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 234px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_xYQYt8sW8_w/TUDgsTCV-LI/AAAAAAAAAbE/xSyfspD7d7Q/s320/poodle%2B3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5566696191058901170" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 208px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_xYQYt8sW8_w/TUDgoNW_7yI/AAAAAAAAAa8/wOBcQmd32Uw/s320/poodle%2B2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5566696120815447842" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 205px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_xYQYt8sW8_w/TUDgk8t34wI/AAAAAAAAAa0/EKgTzRPKC3Y/s320/poodle%2B1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5566696064808379138" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 245px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_xYQYt8sW8_w/TUDghCQhwlI/AAAAAAAAAas/t6npRTqJNDw/s320/poodle.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5566695997576430162" />

Abuse abuse abuse.
What is it that sparks such a disturbing manner into one's thoughts till the point it produced excitement and joy?
Its not an act of sanity.

I've been watching a lot of animal abuse videos posted on youtube and mainly Facebook, lately. A hooded teen throwing helpless new-born puppies into a river, a sexy woman stabbing a poor kitten in search of some love in the eye with her heels, twisted chinese girls sitting on glass placed on top of an innocent bunny till its being crushed to death and now,a most recent one that happened right here in Malaysia is a chinese man, slapping and tossing a poodle across the room after it failed it's lessons in standing only on its hind legs. Seriously?!

Since when did these creatures were ever able to be human in the first place?...Never had and never will.
But as for these so-called humans, they are doing a really good job at becoming inhuman. In fact, its a disgrace to label them anything more than an animal!
They're sick people with the heart of Satan's.

Since the video of the abused poodle started popping up on facebook about a few days ago, thousand of outraged viewers has been ganging up on finding these abusers in the video for some cruel yet fair revenge. Big and important names from th government has also made calls in complaint of the grueling act.

The video was posted up by someone who claimed she had discovered it on a thumbdrive and decided to upload it on the popular video streaming site > Youtube.
It became a popular hit. It saddened me, as a Muslim Malaysian, of how cruel AND stupid our locals can behave towards an animal!
As I'm writing this, I am also holding back tears in pity for the poodle. And no, im not just saying this to add in the dramatic episode. Personally, i love dogs. And i've been wanting one for myself to share love and care between us humans and them animals. After all, we came from one creator. But of course being a Malaysian muslim, i am restricted into owning a dog and this enraged me to think that those unfortunate innocent animals have to fall in the hands of knowledge-less people.

In the 15 minuets-long video, a shirtless man is seen yelling and shouting (in cantonese) at the poodle to stand on only its hind legs while a woman was recording the event. After failed attempt of the poodle to do so (hence, its a dog -_-) the man then started slapping and tossing the hurt dog across the room.
I have not personally watch this video yet and i dont think i even want to.
Just looking at these pictures makes me sick to my stomach and im typing this being completely PISSED OFF!
Idiots! *pardon my language but without a doubt, they deserve more than just foul language.

I HOPE that the authorities would soon get those involved in the video in handcuffs and behind bars if not on the electric chair.

Please people, start behaving like one.

NO TO ANIMAL ABUSE!
Atif
**************AZ Dreamerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14360476585351909983noreply@blogger.com0
